I have form that looks a lot like a search bar for the user to search
for records matching specified criteria (e.g. first names containing
"ben"). For robust results, an intermediary form displays all records
matching the criteria (hmm...sound like a popular web site I know).
Here is the immediate problem: my code (below) works fine on my...

I have just started created a web app in asp.net 2.0.
I am using a masterpage for header/footer stuff.
In my content page I am using MaintainScrollPositionOnPostback, and
while it does keep the scroll position there is a lot of flicker on
postback where as when I did this with asp.net 1.1 you could hardly
tell that a postback has...

Use of SmartNaviagtion appear to cause a serious perfomance hit, I'm
not working with ASP.Net 2.0 yet so
MaintainScrollPositionOnPostback=True isn't an option either.
Is there a way I can persist the user's scroll position in a datagrid,
are there any other options?
Thanks

Setting MaintainScrollPositionOnPostBack=true gets me the behavior I
most often want, but there are times when I need to have the scroll
position return to the top of the page - instead of the last scroll
position. Is there a way to reset the scroll position in an event
handler? From looking at the generated html, I see two hidden fields...

On error i need to scroll the window to a certain field or if not possible
the top of the form.
By default i set MaintainScrollPositionOnPostBack and i can unset it on
error but the next postback will not have the scrollpostion stuff set yet
and will go to the top of 1st next postback again.
How to overrule once?

I have identical ASP.NET 2.0 code running on two different iis 6.0 w2k3
servers. On one MaintainScrollPositionOnPostBack works properly. On the
other it does not work at all. What should I look for on the server that
could cause such a problem?
Thanks,
Keith

Hi,
I've tried using the Page.MaintainScrollPositionOnPostback property to keep
the users' focus on the web control they are currently editing on
AutoPostBack=true. Yet, there are cases when I DON'T want the scroll
position to be maintained on postback, e.g. when server-side errors occur,
being displayed at the top of the page.
With...

Hi,
With safari 3.1.1, the property MaintainScrollPositionOnPostback="True"
doesn't work. It works with IE, Netscape, Firefox ...
Any hint to solve this?
Thanks

Hello
I have a very long aspx page that consists of several panels. I am using
MaintainScrollPositionOnPostback = "true" in the page directive and framework
3.5. The scroll position on postback is maintained properly as long as the
y-coordinate is not larger than 4000. Is there a limit on how large the
y-coordinate can be when using...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
