If I understand correctly, I have no assurance that I can determine the type
of a simple class instance thrown as an exception unless I explicitly catch
it by name. (non-derived classes having no virtual funcitons have no rtti)
That is, there is no way to do something like:
try{
funct_from_3rd_party();
}
catch(...){
std:err << extract_name() << std::endl;
}

Hi
I am getting this error when I tried to browse any asp.net in visual
studio.net. I can build the project but when I try to run and debug the
project I get error message that "Unable to start debugging on the web
server. server side error occurred on sending debug HTTP Request.
I am running WinXP Pro SP1 with all hotfixes and VS.NET 2002 and .NET
Framework 1.0

I have just started created a web app in asp.net 2.0.
I am using a masterpage for header/footer stuff.
In my content page I am using MaintainScrollPositionOnPostback, and
while it does keep the scroll position there is a lot of flicker on
postback where as when I did this with asp.net 1.1 you could hardly
tell that a postback has happening.
Is there something else I need to do or did ASP.NET 2.0 remove the

Use of SmartNaviagtion appear to cause a serious perfomance hit, I'm
not working with ASP.Net 2.0 yet so
MaintainScrollPositionOnPostback=True isn't an option either.
Is there a way I can persist the user's scroll position in a datagrid,
are there any other options?

Hi All
I downloaded Sql server 2005 express SP2 and attempted to modify the
Bootstrapper package files as I did with SP1
When i try to install SQL server as part of my VS 2005 deployment app I get
an error at the end of the SQL server install phase 'Invalid endpoint'.
(Note SQL server express gets installed OK)
If I run SQL server express SP2 setup directly it I don't get the error

Whenever an ASP.NET server-side control is processed, the client form is
repainted from the top forcing users to scroll back to where they were on
long forms. How can I work around this issue?

Hello
I have a very long aspx page that consists of several panels. I am using
MaintainScrollPositionOnPostback = "true" in the page directive and framework
3.5. The scroll position on postback is maintained properly as long as the
y-coordinate is not larger than 4000. Is there a limit on how large the
y-coordinate can be when using MaintainScrollPositionOnPostback?

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
