Web Parts on ASP.NET 2

Hi Guys!

After developing web parts for sharepoing technologies, I'm getting into the
new ASP.NET 2 web part technology, and I have, maybe, a very beginner's
question.

Does anyone knows where the new ASP.NET 2 web part framework infrastructure
stores all the user customization settings for personalization ??
Does this thing requires to have a database? has to be MS-SQL 2005?

Just want to know....

Thanks,

Jose.

Personallizatio n is stored in the DB specified by teh web administration tool
(the tool you start up in Visual Studio). The web tool will create the
database. Without customizing the provider, you have a choice of SQL Server
or Access.

Hello, I look at the asp.net 2.0 web parts tutorial on the asp.net web site. I tried to run it under firefox browser but it did not run. I'm trying to filer the parts list per Manufacture and Model number so that the user doesn't have to scroll through the complete list of parts to find the parts that relate to the model in question. I've got two combo boxes on the main form where you can select the manufacture, that filters the model combo box to show only models from that...

Hi, Referring to C90, is there somewhere published a list of all parts of the standard where the behavior is not specified or implementation dependent? If not and I want to find all such parts I could search a pdf version of the standard for keywords such as "implementation dependent" to highlight the section. Can anybody suggest a complete list of such keywords to make sure I find all the relevant sections?

I've just finished getting my web 2.0 MCTS, and the exam seemed to have a disproportionate interest in Web Parts. Personally, I don't really see the point of them Should I think again? can anyone show me a Site where Web parts are used in a way that makes them quite compelling as opposed to just a gimmick? also, I'm happy to hear any views on Web Parts both pro and con and with or

Hello! What is the difference between "library parts" of C99 and "language parts" of C99. see http://groups.google.at/group/microsoft.public.vc.language/browse_thread/thread/e9a67f0ff20a954b/bd2bada2bbdbce56?lnk=st&rnum=1#bd2bada2bbdbce56 I know that "Dinkum Compleat Libraries" (http://www.dinkumware.com/) support the "library parts" of C99 - this probably relates to the C99

Turning on error_reporting(E_ALL); was quite an eye opener as to how much "fixing" PHP will do for the sloppy coder. I fixed all of the errors except: Notice: Undefined property: parts in /ContactManagement/contact_mainpage.php on line 120 where the line in question is: $parts = $struct->parts;

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
