I have a set of pages with a special stylesheet used to override some
styles for printing. One of the things I've tried to do is reverse
the colors of my navigation. On the screen, I have a black background
and the navigation is red on yellow. For print, I (obviously) have a
white background and wanted the navigation to be reversed (yellow on
red) for better clarity.

Hi at all,
I have a very long html page with many photo.
Therefore the best to print this page is to print the some page as PDF.
Therefore I maked a PDF file like my page to print best.
I'ld want that when the user press the print button in the browser , it
print automatically the pdf file and not the html page.
To do that I insert at the top of my page:

I have a html page that I don't want anyone to print. Is there a way using
JavaScript to send an alert to the user to warn them from trying
to print the html page? Is there an onPrint event handler? In my book
'JavaScript a Beginner's Guide' by John Pollock none is listed. Can a
function be written that will execute if someone tries to print the html?

Does anyone know if there is a problem with re-enabling the Screen
Saver after it has been disabled programmatically.
I am using the SystemParametersInfo function within User32.dll, and
have been successful in disabling the Screen Saver, but it does not
work for re-enabling. The only way I can re-activate it is to
re-apply the settings through the Display properties in the Control
Panel.

Hi,
I'm working on a JavaScript that is enabling / disabling a select
element according to whether a checkbox is selected or not.
This works fine in Firefox, but in Internet Explorer (v 6.0.2900) it
appears wierd:
When I disable the selevt element in IE, it continues to appear as
enabled (falsely) until I try changing it.
When I click on it, updates itself as grey as to indicate that it is
disabled.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
