Q: Creating a ASP.NET Mobile Web Application.

Hi!

I am trying to go thru the walkthru in Studio 2005 Pro Called "Creating an
ASP.NET Mobile Web Application"

It says, "In the Templates pane, click Mobile Web Application", there isn't
a Mobile Web Application Template?!?

I have looked everywhere, but cant find it.

I have the release version of studio 2005.

What could be wrong?

Well!

I did a complete installation of the Studio 2005 Pro, and there were no
templates installed.
I got the regular templates but not the web templates.

Is there another setup to be run?

Martin

Hello to all, I'm looking into providing mobile access to a web based administrative application currently running on .Net with MS SQL. The current architecture only supports the latest Internet Explorer browser due to elaborate dependencies on client side XML libraries, so I'm told. My problem is lack of knowledge of mobile client capabilities. I need insight into which architecture to use, more on this follows. The requirements for...

Can we develop mobile web applications using Visual Web Developer express edition? and use it commercially? 2. When we develop a mobile web application, can the application also be accessed using a desktop other than the mobile devices, PDAs etc 3. Is there a difference between compact devices and mobile devices. Do we have to take care of this...

Hi. I have Mobile site that I'm building. My problem is that all of my pages are built as Mobile ASPX pages, but occasionally, I need to use controls which are not mobile. Most specifically, the "FileUpload" control. Now, most phones don't support this feature, but some do and for them I need to place and use this control. How can I insert a FileUpload control on a Mobile ASPX? Alex

We have a C# windows mobile form application designed for PockedtPC 2003 developed in VS2003.NET with .NET 1.0/1.1. Some of the mobile devices have been replaced with Windows Mobile 5.0. As a result we have re-built the application in VS2005 with .NET 2.0. We can deploy the application to the mobile device OK via active-synch. However as our mobile devices are widely distributed the normal way of loading the application is to FTP...

Up till now I have been testing it with a Pocket PC which runs a version of Internet Explorer. I saw a MS demo a few years back where they developed a web page and the software automatically rendered it for different devices. Is this what I'm looking for? http://www.asp.net/mobile/ Much of the info looks old. I have a MSDN account where can I download it or is it already in VS 2008 and I just don't know how to find it? I'm mainly interested in having simple pages render in Internet Explorer

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
