I am hosting .Net UserControls in HTML pages with Object Tags. These
UserControls are clients of remotable objects that run on the same machine.
The remote objects execute callbacks via sponsor objects. The UserControl
client creates and passes these sponsor objects to the remote objects.
I am able to launch .Net UserControls and their dependent .Net components in
HTML pages using the Object tag. I had to do the following to get it to...

I've found myself using XSD files for my datasets. I'm loading them up from
disk right now. I was hoping there was a way to embed the file in the
assembly, so I could have access to it without the disk read.
I know I could build a kludge of a string builder function ...I was looking
for a way to embed the entire file in my assembly.
Is this possible ?

I have a win app that will load a usercontrol which is in a dll file, e.g. UserControl1.dll.
The UserControl1.dll refers another usercontrol which is in another dll file, e.g. UserControl2.dll.
In the win app,
Assembly assembly=Assembly.LoadFrom(@"c:\temp\usercontrol1.dll");
Control control=(Control)System.Activator.CreateInstance(namespace.classname);
Then add the control to a form in the win app.

What I have currently:
I have a user control called mod_container.aspx that is basically two
divs -- the top a toolbar, that expands/collapse the second div which can
contain other modules/controls (eg a newsfeed, quick phonelist, login, etc.)
But the controls end up too 'deep': it appears that it would be
lighter/better if I could just enherit the uc_login.aspx directly off of the
uc_container.aspx so that all modules have the same...

Hi there,
I searched carefully through the web before finally deciding to post
this message, because I could not find a solution for my problem.
Hopefully someone will have a hint or explanation for me! I apologize
for the length of this posting, but I wanted to make sure that I get an
answer other than "Hey man, just use LoadControl!", because this is not
what I want.
The Task: Isolate a collection of web forms which are created as

I am converting a VB6/COM application to VB.NET and must remove all COM
objects.
VB6/COM App Architecture: Windows Form hosts WebBrowser which loads
HTML snippets from local disk. Some of the HTML snippets contain
<objecttags for ActiveX Control. ActiveX Control loads and works
without issue.
VB.NET App Architecture: SAME as above except for: The WebBrowser
Control is initially seeded by loading HTML from local disk. All Other

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
