Hi, I've created a very simple winforms control using the c# wizard in VS .net 2003 that is nothing but a System.Windows.Forms.UserControl. There are no other controls on the form
It takes IE 12 seconds to load this control into the page. CPU usage is at only 1% to 2% during the 12 sec
All of this is on a single machine
XP Pro sp1 (all critical updates loaded)
2.6GHz, P4, 512MB ra
IE v6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633
IIS 5.1

Hi guys
Ok, i have an aspx with a user control. In the user controls pageload i set
a property (mystring = "test";). i then want to access that from the
page_load of the aspx thats using the control.
the problem is that the pageload for the page fires before the pageload for
the control, so if i say in my pageload
response.write(control.mystring);

Bakground: I have a webform (LoadCtl.aspx) which loads the user control to a
placeholder dynamically based on the ctlName querystring passed in the URL.
Webform (LoadCtl.aspx) also passes a variable (targetId) in to the
usercontrol (IntergySite.aspx) by calling its setter method.
Currently, I am using if-then-else and hardcoded the User Control Object to
do casting and call the setter method.

I have a Form (FV&C) containing a userconrtrol (CF&E)
I do a ShowDialog for the form and the form's Load calls a method of the
UserControl.
The first time I do this the usercontrol appears on the form as I'd expect
after the method had been run.
The second time I do this the usercontrol appears on the form as if the
usercontrols Load had last been run.

Two days ago, I built an ASP.NET 2.0 application and published it on a
shared IIS 6 Web server. After publishing, and during the whole day, it
worked fine.
The server remained untouched since. Today, I wanted to access the home
page of the application again with a browser. But instead of the proper
page, I just got an ugly message:

I have a series of "SmartParts" which are CAB (Composite Application Block)
Views which are finally just UserControls (99% of the time)
Anyway, I layout my UserControl in the VS2005 designer, but at runtime, the
controls are in different locations and different sizes. I have been able
to restore their sizes by putting a hack together that will set their sizes

We have a Windows app that has one main form (a shell, sort of). We then
load user controls into a panel on the form depending on what the user has
selected.
Our current code to unload the existing user control and load the newly
selected one is pretty bulky. Every time we add a new user control to the
