single solution-multiple projects

I'm reading contradicting statements from Microsoft. This is very confusing
and I am having a hell of a time with running multiple projects within one
solution.

From: Team Development with Visual Studio .NET and Visual SourceSafe --
Important A single project approach is simpler, so split a Web application
up into multiple projects only if absolutely necessary-typically for very
large Web applications.

In another place it says that never use Multiple solution design.
Regardless I'm getting this error everytime I try to change my
authentication mode from windows to forms.
Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom
error settings for this application prevent the details of the application
error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however,
be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Then it tells you about configuring your errors mode, I turn them to off,
same error, I put it on RemoteOnly, nothing happens. We are using a remote
server with IIS installed on it and no IIS installed on any developers
machines. Can someone please point me somewhere about all of this.

Thxs,
Frustrated.

Which of the Windows/Unix package builders for Python applications is capable of creating single-file executables? I'm thinking of: 1. py2exe 2. Mcmillan Installer/PyInstaller 3. cxfreeze The apps I've seen created by py2exe aren't single-file at all, the install folder is full of files besides the main program. I'm looking for a solution that stuffs all libraries, scripts, and the Python

Hi all, I'm looking to implement a single sign on solution for .NET applications. This single sign on solution will need to work against a variety of back- end databases (i.e. SQL (mainly), Active Directory (some), Custom Data Sources (XML, MDB, Custom Web Service, etc). Is there any sample code on implementing a simple single sign on service? The app would need:

Hello all, Before I ask the question a couple of notes : * This question is for implementing a script inside the Wing IDE. For some reason using the subprocess module doesn't work so I need a solution that doesn't use this module. * The platform is Windows and I'm happy with a Windoze only solution. :-)

Hi, I need a simple single sign-on solution for .NET. The solution needs to support both windows and web. So, basically what I need is a solution where I log in once and then can access other applications and webpages on the intranet. I can't use Active Directory. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
