Hello,
I create a vb4 project which can also naviger on Internet via the
WebBrowser control which I put on my form.
My question is: if this program is installed on a station having already
Internet Explorer in it then will it cause an error if version Internet
Explorer is the same one as WebBrowser which is in my project? Is it this
control which Internet Explorer uses?
If that can cause errors of version then, instead, can I install this...

Hi There,
Can someone please tell me why the XML spec states that an attribute
value with an external entity is forbidden? Or point me to the
appropriate document? Or better still, perhaps you know of a work
around?
It is a little frustrating that the normally powerful external
entities are limited in this fashion.
Example (myextent.txt contains just one word without a CR):

When I try logging into my web app using local host I am getting the "HTTP
403.9 - Access Forbidden: Too many users are connected
Internet Information Services". The thing is I do not have 10 users connected!
I have been running Microsoft Application Center Test for load testing
purposes, and also another application called "ANTS Load" for the same
purpose. I don't know if there's any direct relation between doing load
testing with these...

Hi all
I have a strange problem with IIS windows pass through authentication. Heres the setup
IIS running with Windows Authentication for our intranet site. ACL has been set to everyone for all web directories. This is all on a windows 2003 server. We add the intranet site to the intranet zone so the windows credentials will automatically get passed to IIS
90% of the time it works fine, but Intermittently we get access forbidden -...

Hello,
I have a program that does the following:
When a user clicks on a row in a VB.NET datagrid, it will open a web page in
Internet Explorer (that corresponds to that item in the selected row in the
datagrid). It will automatically print that web page, and then it will close
the Internet Explorer window. I have code that works perfectly when a
regular web page is opened, however when a pdf web page is opened the
printing never...

This is more of a post to inform, unless of course I am missing
something fundamental, in which case I would appreciate anyone
explaining it.
Based on Mr. Michaux's camelizeStyle function I wrote:
function create_style(style)
{
var p = document.createElement('p');
var t = document.createTextNode('Just something to fill the P.');

I have created a solution in VB.NET. For some reason when I closed
the application and tried to re-open it I get the message "The Web
server reported the following error when attempting to create or open
the Web project located at the following URL: 'http//localhost/
filename'. 'HTTP/1.1 403 Access Forbidden' . The solution was working
as I was building the project and it was functional. Does anyone have
any ideas?

I've been away from ASPNET - I open up a new Web app in VS2008 and go into
properties and select to use IIS instead of the personal web server. Then
I run in debug mode and it says I have to set the Debug= True in the
Web.config which I do. Then try to run it again and it says I must enable
integrated security which I do. I then try to run it again and get the HTTP
403 error - " This error (HTTP 403 Forbidden) means that Internet...

FAQ Topic - Why is my AJAX page not updated properly when
using an HTTP GET request in Internet Explorer?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Microsoft Internet Explorer caches the results of HTTP GET requests. To ensure that the
document is retrieved from the server, you will need to use the POST Method.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
