I am trying to install .Net 2005 Professional Beta on one of my
computers, but I am having problems. When i first install, it is unable to
instal J# runtime, or SQL Server. Both of these, the express editions, were
installed on the computer before the first install attempt, and I am not sure
if I deleted them before installing the new version. I have deleted

Having a problem installing a DB2 client on a machine running AIX
version 5.0. Client appeared to install one time succesfully, then
was uninstalled and a reinstall was attempted. For some reasons, it
does not complete the reinstall. See the status report from the GUI
installer at the end of this note. Errors are towards the bottom.
Everything installed in /usr/opt for DB2 but the sqllib folder that is

While I think just about every IT expert out here agrees that the first
commandment is Thou Shalt Not Install Beta Software in a Production
Environment, the corollary to this would have to be that if you're naive
enough to install a beta of anything on a production machine, you should *at
the very least* least back it up. Even if you're installing an RTM version
or Service Pack you should take precautionary steps in case something breaks...

When I click the 'How do I ?' menu item in the C# IDE the proper screen comes
up but it is empty and a message box says: Package Visual Studio Common IDE
package failed to load. Then if I click on Help Favorites or Search I get the
error: The operation could not be completed. No such interface is supported.
I am using the latest download of C# Express 2005. I have used the uninstall
tool and tried re-installing but the problem persists....

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
