Once in a while, I get bitten by the fact, that mutating list methods such
as 'append' or 'extend' return None instead of the (mutated) list itself.
Is there a compelling reason for that? I googled around, but didn't find
anything about this.
Thanks

Hey all,
I'm trying to make a sidebar box float to the right of various items,
and for those items to wrap if a user shrinks his browser window.
Instead, in every browser I've tried except for Internet Explorer (in
Safari, Firefox, and other Mozilla-types), the box ends up overlapping
with the second and third rows of the text (which are in...

I thought assigning one function to another was fairly straightforward,
as the example below illustrates. So I was really surprised that IE 6
showed the alert while Firefox 1.0.1 failed.
It's easy to shore up Firefox by changing the elem=... line, below, to:
var elem = function (myId) {return document.getElementById(myId);}
Could any of...

Using a list box to display a text file, I am having to adjust the
length of the lines to fit the list box, (1) is there a way around
this? (2) Can one use rtf files with a list box, does that have coding
consequences when using the list box, if so which?
Many thanks.

Hello:
I just want to use a two columns web. If I put sidebar on the
right, it there is a list, it's fine. If it is a paragraph, the width
will not work?
Why?
In the following example, width is 200 px, but the contents is much
long than that.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...

The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
