Wrap table column content

Hi,

I am using FOP for creating pdf.
I am having a table which has 14 columns.
And each column contents may contain any
number of chars.

My problem is :
When the text is having no spaces in between like
"thisisalongwor dandcouldnotbew rapped", it is overlapping
another column. How to wrap the text with in the cell.??

I used wrap-option="wrap" overflow="auto" , but no luck.
Is there any solutions for this?

Finally i solved the problem
by inserting zero width white spaces at regular intervals.
Thanks to FOP mailing list..!

(reposting due to unrelated noise in original post) Hi In the example below on a normal size screen everything looks the way you would think it would (on IE6). My problem is what happens when I add more entries into the table (equivilent here to making the IE window smaller) - If you make the window smaller then the first column text starts to wrap, which I don't want

I have the following problem: I need a simple, tabular layout in a webshop. - left column: navigation column with approx. 170px width - right column: content area the goal: the left column should contain a few "boxes" (these are HTML- tables) which should be all of the same width. So, I attributed the left column with 'width="170"' and assigned the attribute 'width="100%"' to all contained <table>s. This should

I am learning Relax NG. The problem is that I cannot figure out how to make a schema for a table. In my case I would like to make a table with any name of child elements (columns) but columns should have the same number of child elements (cell). Say this file is valid <table> <column> <cell/> <cell/> </column>

Is there really any advantage to using DIV elements with float style properies, vs. the old method of TABLE and TR and TD? I'm finding that by using DIV, it still involves the same number of elements in the HTML to get everything just right. When you consider the class attribute on the DIV elements, there's not much size savings anymore for using DIV. There are other disadvantages to not using TABLE/TR/TD, such as the lack of ability...

I have a table cell that I want to wrap text inside of. I've tried both hard and soft wrap, but Firefox refuses to obey. IE 6&7 handle the wrap just fine. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Hello Members, I am setting up a photo website. I have decided to use PHP and MySQL. I can load jpeg files into the table (medium blob, or even longtext) and get the image(s) to display without a problem. I am using chunk_split(data) and the base64_encode and base64_decode on the files. I do a select from the database, and then echo the image (with header(Content Type: image/jpeg) and the decoded image displays fine. Yes, I have...

Sorry for a simple question: What is the trick to have the Column Headings on Queries to wrap-around versus remain on single line? I often use longer names to describe, tending to belonger than the field content.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
