We have a webpage, which pops up a new window, prompting logged-in user
to upload images. This works completely fine with regular internet
explorer because we use cookie to verify if users are logged in or not.
However, if somebody were browsing our website using windows' file
explorer, not internet explorer, they have no problem be...

Is there a way that I can repair MS Internet Explorer? I seem to have
broken it somewhere. I have been developing a .NET app. Three days ago I
saw a message box in a web site that I visit saying "Syntax error; Line 14".
I cleared that (hit button not to debug) and then the another message box
popped up on a mouse over event that said a...

If I use this code to maximise a browser window:
window.moveTo(0,0);
window.resizeTo(screen.width,screen.height);
it works but on Windows the user can have a taskbar visible and the
browser window goes behind it.
Is there a way to know where the taskbar is?

Use the MS Script Editor included free with MS Office 2002 and above,
for debugging Internet Explorer (IE).
This subject is of great interest to many JS developers, as there is no
obvious, low cost way to do sophisticated debugging in
IE6 other than to use the debugger described below, which is horribly

Hello,
I created some rather complex Intranet Application, using lots of
JavaScript, DOM-Maninpulation and XMLHTTPRequest communication.
I developed on FireFox, with the excellent firebug ... every misstake
was given back with a fine, fine traceback; exactly pointing to the
code at error.
My code runs fine on FireFox and Opera.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...
