Say I've got a page - myPage.asp - that expects to see the
results of a form's POST operation. If it comes from the
form, all is fine.
However, if someone were to manually type the address in
the address bar - http://www.mysite.com/myPage.asp - I'd
like to be able to detect that they're trying to
circumvent the form and redirect them to the appropriate
page using Response.Redirect().

I can't seem to find at MS how to detect the 2002 OS vs. 2003 OS for web
applications using ASP. This is the only page I could find
(http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/guide_ppc/htm/designing_web_sites_f
or_internet_explorer_for_pocket_pc_cheo.asp) and it only tells how to detect
2000 vs. 2002 (and much of the graphic is cutoff on the right).
It has the code below but it doesn't tell me how to distinguish between 2002
and 2003...

I am designing a plugin system for a window application using .NET(C#
specifically). One of the requirements of the plugin system is to be able to
dynamically load/unload plugins.
My initial thought was to use System.Reflection.Assembly.Load to load the
plugins dynamically. This worked great, but I was left with no way to
dynamically unload the plugin.

Hi,
I am running a script to find out the plug-ins installed in my pc. I run the
same script both in IE 6.0 and Netcape 7.1, but I got different results. IE
says "JavaScript couldn't find any plugins", and Netcape returns a table
listing all plug-ins. Can anyone tell me why this happens? Thanks!

Hi,
I have a web site i want to be SSL (we already have the cert and everything
from verisign) but i want port 80 to redirect to the ssl connection 443
(HTTPS) so if they go to the site at http://site it will determin hey im not
ssl and redirct to https://site how would you do this? thanks

I've been written an asp.net Intranet application and since it will run on
an intranet it would be good to be able to detect whether the app runs on the
same computer that acts as a server or if it's possible to stop him from
doing so.
Normally you just enter the ip numbers to the server and startpage in the
url. And then you surf on the Intranet.

Hi
I am trying to read the html header 'if modified since' by using
Request.ServerVariables("HTTP_IF_MODIFIED_SINCE") in classic ASP. But I am
unable to get anything from this, this variable is always empty. It is also
excluded when I try to list all the server variables. We are using IIS6.
So please can someone confirm what is the correct syntax?

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
