I have had two clients recently ask me about shopping carts.
I have also been using PHP on a more regular basis and thought I could
find an open source shopping cart such as oscommerce.
It seems as though oscommerce requires "register globals" turned on.
I know this is a bad idea. Also my hosting company won't turn them on
(not that I would want that). This got me thinking about a few things
and I was wondering what others experience on...

Hi,
I hope someone can help me make a working shopping cart, as a learning tool.
If I have a "Product Demo" html page with a "Buy Me" button, there must be
a simple javascript method of storing the necessary product information. There
could be several fields involved...
Then there ought to be another javascript method that can create a new
document based on the list a user has built selecting product from several

I am trying to start a website using paypals shopping cart function.
If i have 10 items and they sell out, how do I make it so the item is

Hi All,
I am developing a site that makes use of a standard shopping cart. Anyone
can add items to the cart, but only registered users can actually check out.
When a user tries to check out, if they are not logged in they will be
prompted to either login or register before they can proceed to the
checkout.
There is NO requirement to allow users to add items to a shopping cart, and
return at some time in the future and still have...

High Level Session Handling Design for a Shopping cart
0) What am I missing?
1) How does OSCommerce do it?
I'm thinking about building a shopping cart from scratch,
using a library of dynamic screen generation routines
(already written) that take an XML stream as input from
various "search for products" forms. That way I can
run queries in one window and display the dynamic
results in another. The searching functions will probably

Hi,
I have an ASP .Net e-business site that is built using DNN 2.0. I am
having troubles passing my shopping cart items to PayPal. I implemented
a total paynow button, but it was not good enough for my customer. I
found some PayPal ASP.Net controls to be used with .net studio.
Basically, I want the user to be able to shop on my website, add items
to my shopping cart and at the checkout to be taken to the PayPal
website. I would like...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
