Shopping cart question using paypal

Hi,

I am trying to start a website using paypals shopping cart function.
If i have 10 items and they sell out, how do I make it so the item is
then listed as sold out. The next person would not be able to come
along and add it to their shopping cart.

thanks

Hi Joy,

If you're using PayPal's free shopping cart, then you'll have to have
a programmer integrate PayPal's IPN with your web server's product
catalog or shopping cart so that it knows that the product is no
longer available. PayPal's shopping cart does not have that capability
on its own.

If you don't have any shopping cart software, and would like an
ASP.NET shopping cart, let me know. There is a new PayPal sdk that
includes an PayPal-enabled ASP.NET eCommerce Shopping Cart. You can
find it at http://www.persistent.com/paypal/aspdotnet or
http://www.paypal.com/aspdotnet

I am designing a PayPal shopping cart/store for a client and have placed several of PayPal's shopping cart forms on the page to correspond with different products. Each form has a unique name though each of the form's elements have to use PayPal's required naming conventions to pass the data to their server. Many of the forms have hard-coded data in them and these have not caused me any problems. The problems I am having are with 3 forms...

I know this question has been asked before, but every few months there are different levels of activity on the various open source projects, so I figured I'd ask again to hear what the current concensus is. I need to implement a simple shopping cart for a company I work for. They will be selling digital content (MP3s, videos, etc) online. I'd like to use someone else's software, rather than write my own shopping cart code. The shopping...

Hi, I have an ASP .Net e-business site that is built using DNN 2.0. I am having troubles passing my shopping cart items to PayPal. I implemented a total paynow button, but it was not good enough for my customer. I found some PayPal ASP.Net controls to be used with .net studio. Basically, I want the user to be able to shop on my website, add items to my shopping cart and at the checkout to be taken to the PayPal website. I would like...

I am at a total loss as to how to accomplish a feature in a shopping cart. (I am using PHP5 and MySQL) Basically, when someone adds an item to their cart, it should alter the inventory to reflect it. That part i have fine, but the problem is, that should a person decide not to complete their purchase, the level should go back up. So the decrease in available stock should go down only temporarily, until checkout. The actual transaction...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
