I'm building a .NET C# web application using web caching.
The Cache class only works when I'm using an aspx page. I
want this Caching logic to be in its own class file (.cs)
in another project so other developers can use it too.
I'm instaintiating the Cache class like this but the
methods do not work like this.
Cache webCache = new Cache();
webCache.Add(.......)

Hi,
(ASP.Net 1.1) is it possible to (programmatically and globally)
deactivate page fragment caching? We have only two scenarios,
development stage where we want caching off and testing where we want
caching on. Is this doable? I think there is a config switch in 2.0,
anything in 1.1?
TIA for any hint,

Dear all,
I have heard and read that fragment caching is used to cache a part of a web
page in order to get remaining items vivible on the page.
For example if a database querry is quite long, we create a web user control
and cache that control. Which will means that during the querry process
remaining page control will be visible while the querry gets executed.
Then what happen if let say the querry takes more than 1 minutes to return...

Hi all,
Have a strange situation regarding fragment caching. I've read the docs and
kbs on this so it's either I've missed some key aspect of the implementation
or there is a "gotcha" here that isn't described in these resources
(kb/docs).

Hi,
I know fragment caching where you can use a cached user control in a
non-cached page (or the opposite)
But without using a user control, how can I cache just a part of my
page (two datatables) but not the rest of the page ?

I'm trying to use ASP.NET 2.0's Menu control in a UserControl with fragment
cahcing but it doesn't work. This UserControl and menu combination make up
my sites left hand navigation and is database driven so would make sense to
use output caching to reduce load. The menu changes very rarely.
For some reason though, the "fly-out" dynamic menus (1 level) don't work
properly with cachign enabled. I can click one of the sub-menus but on the...

Hi All,
In our Web hosting environment we are using Virtual hosting i.e. multiple
websites are on one server and multiple domains are pointing to a single
website.
Issue: We have two domains say “www.Test1.com” and “www.Test2.com” pointing
to a single website. Website content is located onto UNCPath i.e. remote
location.
Domain 1: www.Test1.com points to \\servername\websitefolder\homedirectory

Hello,
I've created a user control with fragment caching:
<%@ OutputCache Duration="43200" VaryByParam="none" %>
<% =now() %>
In my local environment (PC with Visual Webdeveloper 2005) the caching
of the control doesn't work because the displayed time is updated each
time I refresh the page.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development projectplanning, coding, testing, and deploymentwithout human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
