Refreshing Loading Frame from ASP .NET

jm
I am sure this is simple, but I cannot find it.

I have a frameset with two frames. The top frame is a form to be
filled out. The bottom frame is the resultset. In the top frame when
I hit submit, it calls the submit function in my vb .net. What I also
want to happen is for the bottom frame to reload or refresh. With
JavaScript, one could do:

javascript:pare nt.frames(1).re load();

but I cannot figure out where to put this, or if this is correct to
use in the .net pages. I had it in the submit button's onclick, but
it doesn't work. ASP .NET just keeps complaining about javascript not
being a member.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Try using Attributes.Add. Something like this:

MyButton.Attrib utes.Add("oncli ck","parent.fra mes(1).reload() ;")

I've been searching, but apparently not phrasing my search right, so I'm going to float a question out here in the meantime... I'm wondering how to go about refreshing the content of a control (say, a selector) without refreshing the page. For example, if I have these selects: Company: <pick a company> Contact: <pick a contact> When they pick the company, I'd like to refill the contact selector based on

Hi, i need to develop a gui which will load several "windows" depending on what the users selects in the menu and i thought i could accomplish this with panels. What i'm trying to do to test this is load an initial panel and then when the user hits a button load a second panel. This doesn't seem to work. 1. what's the appropriate way of switching panels? 2. the loadNewPanel function seem wrong. I always get loading panel two".

Let me just start by saying... and I truly do mean this... I HATE frames. Now that I have that out of my system, unfortnualty I do not have a choice and am forced to use the complex structure that I am so SO needing help with. My framesets look like this --------------------- | title | |-------------------- | buttons | |--------------------

I appologise for reposting this but I have been trying to find a solution all week with no avail and I was hoping a repost might help somebody more knowledgable than myself to spot the message... I am trying to write a webpage in Javascript. The page loads with three frames, a top, left and right frame. Depending on the users actions the background page rewrites the code for the relevant frames.

Hi all- I am a vb2005 newb so apologies in advance. Essentially I am having some problems with data refreshing on some of my forms. Background: I have created a project containing a few forms. The main form is linked to a data feed which is constantly refreshing data as it is available (it checks automatically and is updating a few times per second). The other forms are essentially taking this data and

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
