everyone,
I'd like to be able to debug php scripts on the command line, going
through the
browser. In other words, set up the debugger to listen and then type
in a url and have the code stop before displaying stuff to the
browser. Then, step through each individual piece of code, etc, whilst
having the output mirrored to either another file or the debugger
screen...

Hi,
I'm running into a problem where the Microsoft Script
Debugger is no longer starting up when it encounters an
error or breakpoint. It used to prompt whenever it
encountered an error, but is no longer doing so. It
doesn't prompt to debug when it encounters an error. It
doesn't open when I use the "STOP" command in my
VBScript. It doesn't open when I select View|Script
Debugger|Open from the IE menu. It just doesn't open.
The only...

Hi,
I've been using VS for a number of projects and the debugger has worked as
advertised until now. I have a desktop solution with three projects, two of
which are class modules. For some reason, in only one of them, the JIT
debugger doesn't seem to be working. (At least I asssume this is a JIT
debugger issue.)
Anyways, in all my other projects an error causes the pop-up window with the
break button option that breaks at the line...

Use the MS Script Editor included free with MS Office 2002 and above,
for debugging Internet Explorer (IE).
This subject is of great interest to many JS developers, as there is no
obvious, low cost way to do sophisticated debugging in
IE6 other than to use the debugger described below, which is horribly
documented otherwise. I feel debugging is an important aspect of
projecting the useability of the language and needs to be made more...

Is there any way to install the IBM Distributed Debugger V9.2 on Windows XP
without first uninstalling DB2?
I installed the IBM Distributed Debugger V9.2 on my Windows XP box in the
hopes of debugging a Java stored procedure. Well, I never got the debugger
to work despite my best efforts - see posts earlier this week - so now I'd
like to uninstall the debugger.
I looked into this but the README says:
3.1 Uninstalling on Windows

T-SQL Debugger Doesn't Allow Stepping Through Stored Procedures
And there is no other procedure with the same name owned by dbo or any
other users.
There is no error messages also, it just completes procedure and
returns result

Hi,
Ive got a difference in results depending on wether I run my app
in the debugger, or run it seperatly (or with <ctrl-f5>)
the results in the debugger seem to be more correct, although
the app isnt finished and theres still a lot of things it gets wrong.
the processing is so complex its hard to determine where the difference can
be occuring,
its a visual display of 3d models, and theres a couple of surfaces

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...
