web chat development, http header connection: keep-alive

Hi,
I'm developing a web chat in asp.net that is composed of two frames.
The top frame shows the messages and the bottom one allows the user to
post messages. The problem is that the browser tries to download both
frames using a single connection (http header "connection :
keep-alive"). The bottom frame is never downloaded then because the
browser never finishes downloading the top frame.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Luiz

I have been having problems with the Development Center for several days now. It seemed to be working fine when I initially installed DB2 (LUW) Version 8 (FP7) and upgraded to FP8, except that I kept getting SQL1131 whenever I tried to prepared a stored procedure. As a result, I completely deleted DB2 and reinstalled version 8 and upgraded to FP8. At that point, I experimented a bit with some of the Environment Settings, particularly the...

I am trying to create a very simple chat program using UDP through a web page. I am having problems getting this going. All the examples I've seen deal with remoting or application variables, or web services, etc. Does anyone have any resources to point me to (either VB.NET or C#) that explains how to create a simple chat on a web page? thanks. Hello! I am trying to build an ajax chat system. Currently I have it so that when you chat, you upload your message to the database, and each client is polling that database to see if he/she has any new messages. The problem with this is that I poll at 2 second intervals (since connection is not active), and so its not as responsive as I'd like it to be. My question is, is an active HTTP connection possible? How did Meebo or Gmail...

Alright, I've set up a chat system that only works half way... I need suggestions on how to make it work better... I'm trying to figure out a way to make $_SESSION viewable to all players by making it equal $cchat, but I don't think it will work... I don't like to use the database because then the chat would become really tangled. It's only there for admin access. I want to keep the chat session specific while having what is posted...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
