Adding aspx pages to a static FrontPage site

I have a very simple website, built in FrontPage 2002,
which displays static information only.

I would like to add some ASP.NET web forms (providing
some event registration web pages). I plan to develop
the ASP.NET pages in Visual Studio .NET and then drop
them into my existing FrontPage web directory structure.
I would hope I can simply update my existing static web
pages using FrontPage, with a link to the .aspx pages
that I am adding...

Will I face any "gotchas" in doing this? Is there
a "correct" spot in the directory structure (like at the
root level) where I should install my aspx web pages?

Thanks for any tips and advice you can offer in
integrating ASP.NET with existing FP websites.

I've just bought a new Windows Server 2003 and I am trying to move an exiting FrontPage website to this new machine. I can't get ASP pages to run. IIS 6.0 has been installed. From the snap-in, I have configured "Web Services Extensions" to allow CGI Extensions, ISAPI Extensions, Active Server Pages, FrontPage Server Extensions 2002, Internet Data Connector, Server Side Includes and WebDAV. All of this appears to be running fine.

Ideally I would be able to give my aspx/ascx pages to a designer which makes them nice and since I'm, using code- behind he will not destroy my code. But unfortunately he says that this format (aspx) is not recognized by FrontPage - is there another tool that designers like and allows to work directly on aspx pages ?

I'm writing an ecommerce app in asp.net/vb.net and need to make the pages searchable and crawlable by spiders, particularly Google's. As far as I know, if my pages's contents are mostly populated by user controls on a single page and I call these different controls by passing one or more parameters like this: myweb.com/default.aspx?MenuID=44, then the spiders aren't going to be able do to anything with this. asp.net offers lots of great...

Hi I have posted this in the microsoft.public.frontpage newsgroups. Since it involves both Frontpage ext. 2002 on a windows 2000 Advanced's web server, and ASP.Net (framework 1.0), I decided to post here too. So here is the post I sent on the other newsgroups, please read and tell me if you have seen this. Note: By the way, here the developers don't have the choice, they have to use FP to deploy.

Here is my situation: I have an aspx file stored in a resource file. All of the C# code is written inline via <script runat="server"tags. Let's call this page B. I also have page A that contains some javascript code that calls window.open. I pass the resource url of page B to Page A's window.open call. Page B is then loaded and executed but none of the server-side code is rendered. If I view the source of the page, the code (and page...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
