Hi,
I have been doing quite some php using UltraEdit and Eclipse. Now i
recently done another Smalltalk project i realize how i miss the
searching capabilities of a good IDE: definitions of- and references to
functions by name (called senders and implementors in Smalltalk),
preferably combined with wildcards and 'search for function name where
the cursor is in'. These are all available for Java in Eclipse, but not
for PHP.

I'm using a 3rd party (htmlarea) WYSIWYG html editting tool. it works great
most of the time. I have a problem where I've made my own function to create
a bookmark type link. e.g. I want to turn the word "Bottom" into a link to
the bottom of the page where resides a bookmark e.g. <a name="Bottom"></a>
The 3rd party software in it's guts has this command:
sRange.pasteHTML(str1 +sHtml+ str2)
Where str1 = <a href="#Bottom">

Hi all,
I have a site working where a user can add some text, wich will be display
on a news page. I would like to give the user the ability to change some
settings of the text he enters (color, size, alignement,... ) i'm not
really sure on how to start on this... How do I have to save tags in my DB?
Any suggestions or exmaples greatly appriciated..

I want to let users enter text - multiple lines - up to about 800
characters. I want to preserve line breaks and white space, if possible, to
a database. In subsequent sessions, the users should be able to retrieve the
text and see it just as they had previously entered it (line breaks and
all).
Which control should I use?
