Posting GuideLines

Please follow these guidelines when posting questions. Submitting clear and concise questions allow those reading to understand your problem and respond easily.
Post your question in a relevant forum
Give a clear title to your question
Give as much detail as possible
Clear explanation (in english if possible you will get more help)
Platform / OS / Version
Language
Source code
Input used
Error Codes
Write in clear concise language using correct grammar and spelling
For code, use the tag buttons at the top of the edit area:
Use [ PHP] and [ /PHP] tags around your PHP code

Use [ HTML] and [ /HTML] tags around your HTML code
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
 1. Use [ CODE] and [ /CODE] tags around other code
You will learn a lot more by attempting the problem yourself and asking for help with the bits that are not working and you will be more likely to get help if you appear to have made an attempt at the problem yourself.
Lastly, it is common decency to acknowledge to your fellow members that you were helped by them or that your problem was solved (or not) thanks to their effort.

"I have an ASP.NET question. Should I post it here in the ASP forum?"

The questions that belong in this forum are related to "classic" ASP, the predecessor to ASP.NET. As of this writing a separate forum has been added titled "ASP.NET" which is supposed to handle asp.net-related questions. The only trick is how to find it since it isn't listed under the "web development" header. Look under "MS Programming". The site admins felt it was important to show a connection between ASP.NET and the rest of the .NET package.

Please don't "SHOUT" (WRITING IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS IS DISTRACTING AND HARDER TO READ.)

Do not use "web slang", LEET, or excessive abbreviations. Your question is more likely to be answered if the readers don't have to work to decipher your message first.

Please don't just ask for a code solution. It is assumed that you will do the basics yourself and advice offered is free and voluntary. Don't ask a professional to give his services for free especially when it is your job to come up with code to solve a problem. On the other hand, if you have tried and need help to overcome a problem, many of us would be happy to look at your code and offer tips.

Do not post homework questions. It is against the policy of the Scripts Developer Network to help cheaters. On the other hand, if there is a concept from your studies that doesn't quite make sense, many of us would be willing to try to help you grasp these ideas.

This subject has come up several times in this group over the last year. Several people in this group seem to feel strongly about this topic. Rather than derail other threads with this discussion, I figured we could talk about it here. Since I'm leading off here, I'll state my opinion on the matter. I really don't care one way or the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention.
