Posting Guidelines. Please read before you post in a forum!

534 Recognized Expert Contributor
Please follow this site's Posting Guidelines when posting questions or answers.

Some highlights from the Guidelines:
 • Make a meaningful title for your thread. "Please Help!" is not one of those.
 • Include your code snippets into the CODE tags; use the menu icons on the GUI.
 • Provide enough information, so others can help you. This may include your Operating System, Software Version, the exact error message you're getting, etc.
 • Use clear and good language. Perfect English is not required, but refrain from using lingo like "u r" in place of "you are", "plz" instead of "please", and so on. Such language is inappropriate and disrespectful when used in a technical forum.

You can subscribe for instant email notifications.
- Go to Control Panel (the link is in the top right corner of the screen)
- Click on the List Subscriptions (see table on the left)
- Check the desired boxes and select "Instant email notification" at the bottom of the thread listing.
- Click on the Go button to submit.

One problem with subscriptions (unless this has been fixed already) is that when somebody replies to your thread and you get email, subscription is terminated and you need to subscribe again to be informed on the next append.

Javascript vs JSP I would like to note that JSP and JS are 2 different languages and are not used for the same thing. You would find better help for jsp posting under the Java forum. This subject has come up several times in this group over the last year. Several people in this group seem to feel strongly about this topic. Rather than derail other threads with this discussion, I figured we could talk about it here. Since I'm leading off here, I'll state my opinion on the matter. I really don't care one way or the other. I use Google, and for all its faults, does do one thing right: it hides quoted text. So, I just...

Please remember the following when posting a question in the Perl Forum. Doing so will get you better assistance. Provide Sample Code - You will find that this is asked for more often than not. Since this is a coding forum, it is better to provide it than not, saving the Experts of the forum from asking for it. Use

tags - Proper use of code tags ensures our Moderators don't have to follow behind you and clean up your...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
