Hi,
I would like to disable the navigation bar in IE to force my web users
to use the application´s navigation buttons.
Ideas welcome,
Thanks... 2 5145
this seems to be more a "Javascript " function you could do. Try this:
<script>
<!--
function OpenWindow(){
window.open("ht tp://www.google.com" ,"","scrollbars ")
}
//-->
</script>
<a href="#" onClick="OpenWi ndow()">Google</a>
this will create a popup window w/o anything, except scrollbars and a
titlebar...
thanks,
Jay

Why? Even without Back/Forward/Refresh buttons, I can still use Backspace,
Alt+Left/ALt+Right, F5, etc...
The goal is to design your web application in such a way that it can handle
the different things a user might do. http://classicasp.aspfaq.com/general...d-buttons.html

Hi,
I would like an opinion on the following:
I have a page which is made up of background-images with transparent
linked images in front of it, which on hover show text in CSS popups.
Due to appropriate alt text, anyone viewing the page with images
turned off, will see the alt text instead, and on hover will see the
popups.

Is there any way to disable the client browser "Back" and "Forward"
buttons while on my site? Or how would I go about knowing that a page
hit is caused by a back/forward navigation?
I have discovered that my web app is definately NOT Back/Forward safe.
It's really messing with my SQL data bigtime.
Thanks.

Hi,
I was wondering if there is a known statistic on how many people
disable javascript support from their client, and if they do is it
intentional or by some default, and when it is intentional what is the
reason behind it?
For example, I have disabled Flash support and I realize that a lot of
sites will just not even check if I support it or not and will just
show me a blank page, and they don't see to care/know about it.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
