I have a page that gets loaded with a meta-refresh hardcoded so that a
few things on the page get updated. its kind of a fake chat board.
anyway, what I need to do is turn off the meta-refresh once someone
clicks in a <textarea> to enter their input; otherwise the refresh
catches them in the middle and messes up the focus.
I need a way to turn off the meta-refresh, or to force the
cursor/focus to stay in the message input box once they...

Hi
Is there anyway to get a meta refresh to do so in an new browser window?
e.g. This code forwards this user after 8 seconds...
<meta http-equiv=refresh
content=8;url=http://www.auction-air.com/index.html>
Is it possible to do so but in a new window, ideally one without focus
- i.e. a "pop under" but only do so after a number of seconds...

My webserver hosts some on-line reports with live data. I have put an html
meta tag to force the client to refresh every 10 minutes so my clients will
always show the latest data ..
<meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="600" />
However, once or twice every day my IP address changes or my WAN link may be
inaccessible for a couple of minutes. If the client refresh occurs during
the period that my host is down or DNS entry is updating...

After much effort, it doesn't seem possible to redirect the user to a new
page after 10 seconds by using a server-side timer. I am now using the
following meta statement to accomplish the same thing:
<META HTTP-EQUIV="refresh" content="10;URL=Form_Welcome.aspx">
This seems to work fine, but I now have three concerns because I thought it
was supposed to be possible to do everything in C#.
1. Note that Visual Studio lets the developer...

Hi everyone,
My goal is to modify the contents of my meta tag (html refresh). However,
my code adds a new instance of the meta tag at the bottom of the page. Is
there a way to modify it instead of adding a new one?
<head>
<title>WebForm1</title>
<meta name="GENERATOR" Content="Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 7.1">
<meta name="CODE_LANGUAGE" Content="C#">

I am sure there is an easy fix for this problem. I am reloading the same
page at an interval using the meta refresh tag in aspx page. This page has
one textbox and one button. The problem is -when the page get posted back to
the server the value of the textbox is gone. How do I preserve the value of
the textbox that I entered in it?
I don't want to use Cache/Session to keep track of the value. That's not an
option.
Thanks for your...

I want to be able to have my webpage to continually refresh
automatically every so many seconds. When it refreshes, I want it to
refresh to the bottom of the screen. To accomplish this, I am using an
anchor which is the last item on the page. I am defining the anchor
with:
<A Name="refreshBottom"></A>
The meta tag I have defined in the header of the page is listed below:

Hello,
I have an ASP.NET 2.0 application with the following meta tag to refresh the
page after a minute.
<meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="60; URL=Default.aspx" />
I need to be able to set the time to refresh dynamically though (i.e. if I
have more data, or at peak times I want to refresh every 30 seconds).

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
