This may be a dumb question, but I'm not finding anything specifically what
I'm looking for. Still kind of new to .NET as well.
What I'm trying to do that I know I could do in VB6.0/ASP is to create a
client side object set some properties and have it run some code. I know
that in VB6/asp it was fairly straight forward by creating an ActiveX
control, register it and then VBScripting the CreateObject("xxx.xxxx")
command and it worked...

For some reason, when I click the X to close my MDI parent form, the action
appears to be re-directed to one of the MDI child forms, and the parent
remains open. I am then unable to close the application.
What should happen, is that the main MDI form should close, taking the child
forms with it. There is code to loop through the child forms, remove the
controls on each of them, and then close the form, but this code should
execute only...

We created an ActiveX control and marked it as safe for scripting using
Implements IObjectSafety. We then created a CAB file and signed it using
Verisign.
We also created a license file (LPK file) for it.
We use this control on an ASP page.
We put the CAB file for the AX control and VBRun60.CAB in the same folder
with all the ASP files.
When we call the ASP page using any machine with IE 6 SP2 (we tried it with
multiple IE6 SP2...

Some of the classes in my app are graphical.
To encapsulate the graphical side of things I had created a class called
"sprite" which holds a bit map and knows how to draw itself etc.
The classes that are graphical contain a sprite object.

Hi:
I have a DLL compiled from C# that I have to be able to use within an
HTML document. This is relatively easy to do following the suggestions
on this page:
http://www.codeproject.com/cs/miscctrl/htmlwincontrol.asp
However, hardcoding the object in the HTML document itself isn't
flexible enough for my purposes. What I would really like to be able

First of all: distinction of keywords typename and class in template
arguments.
Accoarding to a post in a well known moderated group:
"There are three possibilities for template arguments:
1) type as in "template <typename T>" or "template <class T>"
2) non-type as in "template <int N>"
3) class template as in "template <template<typenameclass C>" "

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
