I need a picture in my form....

9 New Member
I realize this must be a basic question but I have tried several things and I still get an icon instead of the picture. It should be a dependent object (i.e. employees photo) and should not be embedded (i.e. data in internet SQL server). How do I set it up?
Thank you in advance,

Sam

Try changing the Display Type Property of the Object Frame to Content instead of Icon
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Properties of Object Frame ==> Data Tab ==> Display Type = Content

I am the best c++ programmer in the whole wide world. Trust ME! My reference is Victor Bazarov,Valentin Samko,Alf P.Steinbach( Me and Alf actually intern together at Microsoft), and Bjarne Stroustrup (he actually asked me for help to design C++ ; still unsure why he didn't give me enought credit - probably a poor design choice to have Russian name near c++),Branimir Maksimovic,Vladimir Kouznetsov . Me and Victor went to the same...

This one is driving me crazy. I have a table which stores pictures in an OLE Object column, one per record with a few other text fields (caption, date, etc). This table is maintained with a form to which the fields of the table are bound. When the form opens, focus is set in the Bound Object Frame (olePhoto). At this stage of development, I am simply pasting bitmap pictures into the frame and saving them. The problem arises when I...

Hi: I have a Bill of Lading template from the printer that I saved as a BMP. I created a new report and in the report's picture property told it the BMP file name. It brought the image in just fine. I then placed the fields in the report. Then I previewed the report. The picture resized or something and all of my nice fields were no longer in the same position. It didn't make any difference if I selected Crop, Zoom, or...

I am having trouble sizing a picture after inserting it into Word using VB.NET. I have a Windows form that allows a user to select several pictures from file. They can then export those pictures to a Word document. I can control the size of the picture on my form using a picture box, but how can I size it in Word, using VB.NET, after I have inserted it? I want to force the picture to a certain size. I tried using a template, but the...

Here is the situation: I have a form that displays the high-level data for a set of records in continuous forms mode. I have a simple command button that will open another form with the details of the selected record.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
