Hello all,
Would you gurus please share your wisdom on any DB2 equivalents to the
Informix "Forms" input form utility and "Ace" report generating
utility? The input form will probably be accessed by telneting from a
Linux shell or Windows command prompt and used for updating a lab
database.
Thanks and regards,

Hello,
I'm writing an automatic SQL parser and translator from Informix to
DB2. Now I'm faced with one of the most difficult things to translate,
the "foreach execute procedure" functionality provided by Informix.
This is the problem: the execution of the translated SQL leaves the
rows in the temp table correctly but raises error SQL0480N....

Hello,
Has anyone experienced the following problem following an Upsize from
Access 97 to SQL 2000 using the MS Upsize Wizard? Or can anyone see
what the problem might be.
Before Upsize (Access 97 front end and Access 97 tables): A MainForm
loads up correctly and then I enter a ReferenceNumber value in a
MainForm field control. I then...

Hi
We need some advice: We are thinking of upgrading our Access database
from Access 2000 to Access 2004.
How stable is MS Office 2003? (particularly Access 2003).
We are just a small company and this is a big decision for us(!) It's
not just the money it's committing to an new version of Access!

Hi,
I'm using PHP 4.4.4 on Apache 2 on Fedora Core 5. PHP was installed
using Apache's apxs and the php library was installed to
/usr/local/php. However, when I set my "error_reporting" setting to be
"E_ALL", notices are still not getting reported. The perms on my file
are 664, with owner root and group root. The php.ini file is located...

Hi,
We have DB2 v9 FP2 on AIX 5.3 64-bit. We have Informix 7 on another
AIX 5.3. Our requirement is to access Informix tables from within a
DB2 database.
I installed Informix Client SDK 2.9 on DB2 server. I did the following
steps to create a nickname on DB2 server.
1. Configured sqlhosts file.

I am a UNIX person (not much experience with MS Access) who during a
recent upgrade on an IBM RS/6000 server had to convert our system due
to an upgrade to a new software revision.
The old software was ISAM-based and relied on a product called
Transoft U/SQL to create "simulated" ODBC connections to the data for
querying and reporting. The...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...

I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.

I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
