Hi!
I'm programming Perl DBI accessing Informix databases. I have a
problem on a Solaris machine to use my installed Informix driver
(DBD::Informix). I get the following error message:

Hi!
I have a problem using the environment variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH in my
perl script. Everything works fine when I set it at the command prompt
and then runs my perl script like this:
presto1@S0222035> echo $LD_LIBRARY_PATH
/SSW/informix/sdk2.50/lib:/SSW/informix/sdk2.50/lib/esql
presto1@S0222035> ldd

Hi,
I'm developing a socket program to connect to Informix database
through the ODBC. In here i called my socket program as "tap" . My tap
will listen for data from unix through port 1070. After checking of
the data, tap will then insert the data to the informix database. I
know we can point the tap to one specified port in Informix database
through the services file. My question is how should i know to which
port my tap program send out...

Hi,
Creating the federated datasource library for informix fails for me.
The db2 server is version 8.1 WSE on AIX 4.3.
The informix client on this server is version CSDK 2.81/ESQL 9.53 UC2.
When I run djxlink as root, I get the followin messages:

I am having trouble with MS Access 2000 on Windows 2000 Pro.
The two problems are that it is taking very long to link to Informix
and Oracle through ODBC and queries from Informix and Oracle never
finish - the meter shows 99% complete - for hours and hours.
I have the latest ODBC drivers; defragged and chkdsk'ed the hard
drive; reinstalled Office.
Any other suggestions, hints, tips?

Hi,
I am developing a simple web app that run querys against an INFORMIX
database and output the results to excel. I am accesing INFORMIX via OLEDB.
The app opens a thread for each requirement, and each thread opens a
connection to the DB.
I have a strange problem: sometimes calls to the DB function never return,
the thread remains blocked and when another thread starts for serving a new
requirement it hangs as soon as it tries to...

Hi,
Our vendor has a database that I connect to via ODBC. I work in Access. All the tables are "informix". The reports I run are rather painful to run due to the size of the original database and Access limitations. So I do a lot of table imports and then run the reports off local tables.
Now, our Data Department are proposing to migrate all of my reports into Crystal Reports. They say my data pulling and reporting activities slow down...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
