Problem in configuring DB2 to access INFORMIX

Hi,

We have DB2 v9 FP2 on AIX 5.3 64-bit. We have Informix 7 on another
AIX 5.3. Our requirement is to access Informix tables from within a
DB2 database.

I installed Informix Client SDK 2.9 on DB2 server. I did the following
steps to create a nickname on DB2 server.

1. Configured sqlhosts file.
2. Ran djxlinkInformix - No errors
3. Configured db2dj.ini file in sqllib/cfg directory.
4. Enabled DB2 instance (DBM cfg FEDERATE set to YES).
5. Created database - No errors
6. Created wrapper for Informix - No errors.
7. Created server - No errors
8. Created user mapping - No errors
9. While creating nickname, receiving the error as below.

SQL1822N Unexpected error code "-761" received from data source
"XXXXXXXX".
Associated text and tokens are "INFORMIXSE RVER does not match either
DBSERVERNAME or D" SQLSTATE=560BD

I verified that the INFORMIXSERVER value in db2dj.ini is same as
DBSERVER value in sqlhosts (located in /etc/sqlhosts and /usr/informix/
etc/sqlhosts) file.

One mistake I did was I mentioned the version for Informix as 9 (in
step 7 above) whereas we have Informix 7.

Is there anything I am missing?

Thanks for your help,
Prasad

My question is how should i know to which port my tap program send out...

I am having trouble with MS Access 2000 on Windows 2000 Pro. The two problems are that it is taking very long to link to Informix and Oracle through ODBC and queries from Informix and Oracle never finish - the meter shows 99% complete - for hours and hours. I have the latest ODBC drivers; defragged and chkdsk'ed the hard drive; reinstalled Office. Any other suggestions, hints, tips?

The app opens a thread for each requirement, and each thread opens a connection to the DB. Hi, Our vendor has a database that I connect to via ODBC. I work in Access. All the tables are "informix". The reports I run are rather painful to run due to the size of the original database and Access limitations. So I do a lot of table imports and then run the reports off local tables. Now, our Data Department are proposing to migrate all of my reports into Crystal Reports. They say my data pulling and reporting activities slow down...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
