We have a Tkinter application which has a menubar with cascade
submenus. I would like to start the program with one of the
submenu items state=DISABLED, then change it to state=NORMAL
at a later time. I hope I just missed something obvious,
because I can't figure out how to change its state.
The problem comes about because the menu bar is built by several
add_cascade() calls. Each of the cascades, in turn, has
several add_command()...

Hi,
I have successfully created a distribution of an Access application
using the setup wizard included in ODE 97. The problem is that some of
the files I want to windows to show as available for selection in the
Start -> All Programs -> My Application
don't show up there, although those same files did get successfully
put into the application directory on install.

Hi there,
Trying to get to grips with MDI applications at the mo and having a
bit of trouble with the basics.
What I have at the mo is the parent form loading and immediately
displaying a child form, which is to be used to log in to the system
(username and password entry). When the user clicks connect on the
child form, I want the menu's on the parent to become enabled.

Hello Everyone,
I have a VB.NET MDI application with a menu 'Window', which MdiList is set
to true. The problem I am experiencing is that when the user click on the
Window menu the first time, the next menu on the right ('Help') opens
instead, even though the mouse's pointer is over the 'Window' menu. If, at
this moment the user moves the mouse a little (but still over 'Window') the
'Window' menu appears and from there it functions...

I've created a simple MDI application and have designated the Window menu to
keep track of the mdi children. When I first load an mdi child, it's caption
consists of "File: no file loaded" and this is what appears on the Window
menu.
Now, after the mdi child loads, I call a method to load a specifically named
file. At this point, the child changes it's caption to reflect the new file
name. Unfortunately, the Window menu does not update...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
