Good afternoon, Rob.

For starters, could you tell us what you want this statement to do, and what happens when you try to run it?

Regards,
Scott

Lose the parentheses ("(" & ")") from the SELECT clause (lines #6 & #7).

Is there a mechanism or an idiom for adding code for debugging so that it can easily be removed in the production code? I am thinking of something similar to the C/C++ preprocessor statements with which you can compile an application with the debug code or without it (the default). Dan

Simple way of writing debug print statements in your JavaScript code. You need to have enabled popups in your browser. I liked the ability to write to the java console in Netscape 4.x. This, ability is missing in IE and the latest versions of Netscape. Maybe someone knows a better way and can improve on this code, the following JavaScript code demonstrates how to write debug statements in a JavaScript program. I sure lots of people...

When I load a csharp program into the MS DbgCLR.exe debugger and trace it everything is fine the first time. Assume now, I change somewhere a code statement in the source file (outside the Debug-IDE) without re-compiling it. DbgCLR.exe recognizes that something has changed in the source file and pops up a warning dialog asking if the new source should be used. If I click "yes" and re-start the debugging process from the beginning...

I have read in one article that when we compile the application in release mode, all the debug classes and properties will be automatically removed from the code. I tried to implement this thing by using the following code in Page_Load event handler. Private Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load Dim intcount As Integer intcount = 0 For intcount = 0 To 4

Hi all, I hope I'm hot too OT. When I installed my copy of VisualStudio.net I was able to use, during the debug of a VB.net app, the featore of "jumping" to another statement (changing the position of the current "yellow" line). Now I cannot do it anymore :(

When i debug a trigger is it possible to add a WATCH on the INSERTED or DELETED? I think not, at least I couldn't figure out a way to do so. Does someone have a suggestion on how I can see the values? I did try to do something like INSERT INTO TABLE1(NAME) SELECT NAME FROM INSERTED

I have the following stored procedure that is called from the source of a transformation in a DTS package. The first parameter turns on PRINT debug messages. The second, when equals 1, turns on the openning, fetching, and closing of a cursor. Things are fine if only one of the two parameters was set to 1. When run with both parameters turned on, "dba_test_dts 1, 1", DTS source (tab) preview fails because it thinks no row was returned....

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
