Access Fundraising database problems

I have a database that is tracking donors, pledges and the payments
made against those pledges.

I have a table for the donors, the pledges and the payments.

I seem to be having a problem getting the payments to interact with
the pledges. I created a form using the tabs feature. The first tab
is for General information about the donor. The second tab is the
pledge info on the donor. My third tab is giving me problems.

I have tried (unsuccessfully ) to create a query that will allow me to
enter payments on the various pledges. Keep in mind that not all
donors will pay for the pledge in one payment. I must be able to make
time payments. I'd like to then have a 4th tab that I can click on to
see the outstanding balance.

I still need to work out getting invoices showing unpaid balances, but
if I need to I can always just get a query and then use this in a Word
Mail Merge.

Does anyone have any suggestions. I can supply the code if needed.

Thanks
Sam

What is your table structure and how are the tables related?

Hi, I've been using an Access application I wrote for an office with the front-end stored on all computers and the back-end on one of them serving as an Access file server. Now we're moving to a 2nd office 15 minutes down the road. Only one office will be open at a time, so theoretically it'd be possible to copy the back-end manually...
