What I'm trying to do is set a players division according to their age.
So if age is 8, update division to junior, if age is 9, update division
to medium, if age is 10, update division to pee wee, and etc.
I'm trying to accomplish this in a single query, and be able to run
this query and verify that players are in the right division.
Is it possible to update multiple records in a table with a single
query while having criteria? 1 1977

Sounds like you need a table for (Age, Division). then join the two
tables in your query and you're done. Otherwise, you'd join and then
use the value from the (Age,Division) table is called. Just join the
two tables on the Age field. This thread has been closed and replies have been disabled. Please start a new discussion. Similar topics |

Access newbie here, I am trying to figure out how to set up a query
that will return an average from multiple records all created on the
same date. Table has the following fields date, weight1, weight2. There
are 30-40 records per day and I would like to be able to have the query
find like dates (without having to enter a date) and give me an average
for all of the weight1 and weight2 records. Is this possible? Thanks!

I'm trying to update a single field in a table according to the an age
category as a condition.
The meat of the code that executes looks like this (I created a record
set, and loop through it until there are no records):
Code:

Hi everyone, I feel as this is a very simple question, but I cannot find any information pertaining to it.
I want to be able to update a set of records that were returned through a select statement. I know that T-SQL does not allow for arrays, so I guess my problem is finding a placeholder for the returned items from the SELECT statement, then doing a UPDATE on those records.
DECLARE @OnCallUser nvarchar(30);
SELECT @OnCallUser =...

Hello,
I need to create a command button to print a report in Preview mode using the criteria from a combo box.
The combo box is unbound and holds a list of clients. I need the user to select the client, then when the button is hit the report lists all the records for that client.
I can write a script which prints a single record from a report, which is here:
Dim strReportName As String
Dim strCriteria As String

Hello:
I am trying to create multiple records in a table named tblTravel based on the input of a date range in two form controls. The inputs for the form are LastName, TravelDate, EndDate, Event, LocationCity, and LocationState. Everything works perfectly, except for the fact that the dates do not correctly enter into the table. For example, if I enter a date range of March 3, 2008 - March 5, 2008 and click OK, 3 records are generated. ...

I have a winform app (VB 2005) that allows users to export data to
excel, make updates to the excel file and import the data from that
Excel file and update the database.
My question is: Is it best to do it this way, calling the update
stored procedure for every update? Or should I be loading this data
into a staging table, and if all goes well do the 'Real' Update. Or
put this into a data adapter and update from that? The application...

I am trying to add multiple records based on a date range. I found some examples and have tried them but am getting errors and I can't seem to figure out what the problem is. I am not a VBA programmer so am a little lost. Any help would be appreciated.
As an example, the user would enter in the following:
4
522
6/5/2010
6/10/2010
Once the user selected OK it would enter 6 records into the schedule table as the following:

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
