Average of multiple records based on similar date

Access newbie here, I am trying to figure out how to set up a query
that will return an average from multiple records all created on the
same date. Table has the following fields date, weight1, weight2. There
are 30-40 records per day and I would like to be able to have the query
find like dates (without having to enter a date) and give me an average
for all of the weight1 and weight2 records. Is this possible? Thanks!

Restructure your database before you get any more data like this.
Normalization 101. Then you can use pure SQL.

tblMeasurement(
PersonID,
TimeStamp (date/time field),
Weight)

THen you can do AVG and all those other fun things.

Firstly, sorry for the long post, but I've included a fair bit of sample data. Im doing a comparision of 10yr Bond prices and CPI adjustments, with an 18 week moving average of the CPI. I'm using a nested sub-query to calculate the moving average, but I'm having difficulty selecting exactly 18 data points (ie When I include the 'HAVING COUNT(C1.Closes) = 18' line, I get no results). Can anyone help?

This table is a subdatashet of the Cut table--so the CutId is stored in it I have a form based on a query between the 2 tables for adding slide records

Hello, I have a delima that I am not sure how to resolve. Records get entered manually or through an import. The records contain, RecordID, Client ID, Specimen Date, Visit Date, Client DOB, and other info on the client. The problem is, we bill off this information, and it is possible that the same client can be entered more than once. So I need to have a unique record based on Client, Visit (or) Specimen Date, and date entered. ...

Hi All, I've been racking my brain trying to figure out some sort of Sub-Select mySQL statement that will create a result with multiple rows of averaged values over a years time. What I have is weather data. There is a new record every 5 minutes, every day. So. What I want to do with one SQL statement is figure out the Average of those 5 minute records over each day, for every day of the year.

I am using Access 2003. I am setting up a form where a user selects a Clinic or Ward, beginning date, and ending date, and the form outputs the averages of a few fields based on that criteria. I have come up with this so far for the query - Dim strSQL As String strSQL = "" If chkClinic.Value = -1 Then strSQL = "Select avg(Courtesy), avg(Timeliness), avg(Confidence), avg(Privacy), " & _ "avg(Sensitivity),...

Hello: I am trying to create multiple records in a table named tblTravel based on the input of a date range in two form controls. The inputs for the form are LastName, TravelDate, EndDate, Event, LocationCity, and LocationState. Everything works perfectly, except for the fact that the dates do not correctly enter into the table. For example, if I enter a date range of March 3, 2008 - March 5, 2008 and click OK, 3 records are generated. ...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers.
