Updating Multiple Records thru checkbox

M P
I need a code that will update multiple records on a list thru checkbox.

If the record is selected, the details that was updated on the selected
record will copy the same value as what is updated.

Can anyone help me?

Hello, I have a database generated form that I would like users to be able to update by selecting a checkbox. Say the page displayed has six records on it and the user wants to delete one or more of the records. They would click the checkbox and hit a "delete" button. Then the database would be updated and the user redirected back to the page that would now show all the records that weren't deleted. Sort of like Yahoo mail, you get a list...

I'm creating a table that contains multiple records pulled out of the database. I'm building the table myself and passing it to the page since the table needs to be fairly customized (ie, a datagrid isn't going to work). On this page, people can update a variet of records. On submit, I want to then go in and update all of the records. Normally, I'd make each form element include a runat: server and then declare it in my codebhind so I...

Hello, I have a multithreaded windows NT service application (vb.net 2003) that I am working on (my first one), which reads a message queue and creates multiple threads to perform the processing for long running reports. When the processing is complete it uses crystal reports to load a template file, populate it, and then export it to a PDF. It works fine so far....

I have an ASP.NET web page with a CheckBoxList which users can select multiple checkboxes and select to save, which inserts a record/row for each checkbox ticked into an SQL database. What is the recommended practise when doing this? Is it better/easier to delete all existing records, and then reinsert new records for checkboxes checked, or to get my application to identify which checkboxes have since been unticked and delete SQL rows...

Hello all, i have a continuous form that displays about 1000 records and opens when I click a button. When the form opens, the user has the option of checking a checkbox that is located beside each record. The checkbox is labeled "Move" (for moving multiple records at a time to another year). Of course, the checkbox is set as a control "moveRecord" on a table that the query is pulling from. So if the user checks one record, then clicks to...

I have a winform app (VB 2005) that allows users to export data to excel, make updates to the excel file and import the data from that Excel file and update the database. My question is: Is it best to do it this way, calling the update stored procedure for every update? Or should I be loading this data into a staging table, and if all goes well do the 'Real' Update. Or put this into a data adapter and update from that? The application...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
