JPEG Access 2003 Package Problem

Hi

I am trying to put Jpegs into an Access table for use in forms and
reports.

I can do it - one one of my networked pcs but not on others. The
others give me Package, despite every thump and kick I give Access
(turn it all off, restart, repair etc).

Both have MS Picture Manager installed.

Is MS Picture Editor, that is referred to in the other posts on this
problem, the same as MS Picture Manager?

Help please!

....the simplest solution is to install the graphics filters from your other
Office applications such as Word ...jpegs are not a native graphic in Access
and it uses the graphics filers from the other Office apps to handle them.

....if you don't have Office itself, then www.lebans.com has an old Intel
graphics file that accomplishes the same thing for jpegs in Access.

Well, I thought I had the graphics filters. I have Office and I
regularly put jpegs into Word etc - is that enough or do I need to do
more?

The Office Graphics filters have nothing to do with your issue. Access
itself has nothing to do with your issue. You are using OLE to embedd the
images directly within an OLE field. Both computers need to have the
identical Paint/Draw program installed and registered to handle the image
file type in question.

This issue is raised daily in the NG's. A quick GoogleGroups search will
yield multiple threads on this issue.

Helpful folks, Most of my previous experience with DB2 was on s390 mainframe systems and the optimizer on this platform always seemed very predictable and consistent. Since moving to a WinNT/UDB 7.2 environment, the choices the optimizer makes often seem flaky. But this last example really floored me. I was hoping someone could explain why I get worse response time when the optimizer uses two indexes, than when it uses one. Some context:

Hi Wonder if someone has some words of wisdom. I have a access 2002 form that contains 2 graph objects that overlay each other and would like to export them as a JPEG to use in a presentation. I can do this individually for each graph but this does not help me as I need both on the same JPEG. I thought I would try an export the form that contains both but I am having trouble. Hi, Here is my situation. Can anyone provide insight? I have developed a database in Access 2002. I am planning to distribute it as a split MDE (front) / MDB (back) to be used by the Access runtime and also full-version. Some of the client workstations will have Access 2002 installed. Most of them will have the runtime installed. However, I can't find the Office 2002 Developer Edition anywhere! Nobody has

I have a problem which seems to come up from time to time but I can't find anything relevant in the archives. I have used PIL v1.1.5 with no problem on Windows for some time but now wish to put it on Linux (Suse Linux v10.0). I obtained and built the JPEG libraries (jpeg-6b) without any problem. The tests for the installation work fine. I built Python 2.4.2 from the sources but with no special options, just 'out of the box'. This works...

I have a desperate short term need for a way to install Access 2003 runtime on client computers. I have the proper license to do so but I cannot seem to find the files to do it like we did with the old Access 2000 Runtime. Also, I cannot use the MS Package & Deployment wizard because it won't allow us to install our app into the specific path that it must be in. It only seems to allow preset macros to define the target install path --...

Hi I've spent a good majority of my day trying to figure out how to have PIL 1.1.5 working on my OSX 10.3.9_PPC machine. I'm still stuck and I have not gotten anywhere. Could somebody please help me... I've scoured all the documentation, google, and mailing lists to no avail. I believe the problem may lay in a jpeglib problem with OSX 10.3.9, or a python paths problem.

Having trouble displaying a jpeg in an Access 2003 form. Have read in Access Forms Dummy Book the an anomaly is present in Access 2003 that does not allow JPEG images to be displayed because Office 2003 does not include MIcrosoft Photo Editor. It says I need to convert the file to a BMP or DIB. Has anyone had this problem and is there anyway to work around it. Coverting my photos is just more work I would like to avoid.

Hello I develop my applications in Access 2002. My development system is running Windows XP SP2 and I have Microsoft Office XP Developer. Microsoft Office XP is at SP3. I used Inno Setup (great product) to install my applications. When the Access Runtime was needed on the system I simply ran 'accessrt.msi' from Microsoft Office Developer discs. When another version of Access (other than Access 2002) was on the system then I simply...

These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers.
