Hi all,
Can someone recommend a good 3rd party image\video control or
VS.NET control for imaging\video.
I will need a recomendation on a good capture card as well
for medical images\video? These will be snapshot images or (10 to 30 second
video clips)

Im trying to develop a Visual C# .NET app. that uses DirectShow filters to capture video from camera source. However, after going through a series of articles, I've seen that DirectShow is not directly supported in Visual C#.NET.
Im wondering if there's any way to use the video-capture filters of DirectShow in Visual C#.
Otherwise, would it be possible to create a Visual C++ DLL that uses DirectShow filters to capture video from a WDM...

Hi everybody!
Im developing an application which involves capturing video from a
webcam. I use video for windows API. The program doesn't capture
real-time video, but it only captures still-images from time to time.
When the program is waiting and doing nothing, the CPU is at 50%. I
would like to know if there is any posibility to reduce the amount of
CPU used.

Does anyone know how to recognise the image capture signal from a
medical scope such as a video colonoscope? I've got video streaming
from the scope to the computer but want my app to recognise when the
