As the subject says... I'm a database novice even though I've been
trying to learn Access for years. I've 'almost finished' several
databases but always get stumped on something - this time it's search
fields (well, ONE of the things.. ).
I'm creating a simple database to track various software licenses on
various computers and I'd like to...

Hi:
I have an Access 97 Search form set up - a couple of combo boxes, a
couple of text fields and a command button. I want the command button
to run an SQL script and then open the results form. I can get the
button to open the other form but I can't get it to run the module
with the subroutine in it. This is my first sorti into programming...

Hi.
I'm very new to MS Access and have been presented with an Access database
of contacts by my employer.
I am trying to redesign the main form of the database so that a button
entitled 'search' may be clicked on by the user and the user can then
search all records by postcode. I want to do this to prevent duplicate
data entry.

Hello all
I am new to Access.
I have imported data from an old FoxPro 2.x database.
This is probably the most basic function but I cant get a search box to
work. I need to search for company name and cant figure it out in access.

Hi there,
I'm fairly new to access and the way it works and I have been building
a relatively simple database.
It is basically a database where staff members can search for what
training they (or others) have completed by staff name, staff group or
training name.
I created this using a form which had 2 text boxes and a combo box.
These were...

Using MS ACCESS 2002
Problem - I developed a form, and within that FORM, I added a SEARCH BUTTON, and then I created a SUB-FORM, so when an end user clicks on the FORM it will POP-UP the SUB-FORM, and in that SUB-FORM I added all the FIELDS I want to view.
However, when I try to type in data into the FIELDS I am searching for, it does not...

How to search multiple fields using ASP
A major issue for me when I first started writing in VB Script was constructing the ability to search a table using multiple field input from a form and having the sql statement dynamically built according to the input provided by the user. I have used the method described here hundreds of times it is...

Hi All,
I am creating a music database for a friend and have run into a problem.
Within the ALBUM table, I wanted to store the ARTIST_ID rather than the
ARTIST_NAME. To do this, I intended to have have a command button on the
album form which would open a search form (based on the artist table). This
works as I wanted and allows me to get to...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
