Hi There
I am creating a search page and need help writing the code to build the sql
string.
I have 3 fields on the main page which a user can choose to enter search
terms in any of the 3 fields. My question is how do I write the logic so it
only includes the fields in the search criteria where the user has entered
anything.

Hi,
Anyone has the background for explaining?
I have made a search on my name and I have got a link to another
search engine.
The link's title was the search phrase for the other search engine (a
wicked phrase). Some but not all of the words of that phrase exist in
my website.
I reported it and they removed the link but did not give explanations.

Hi
I'm aware of the use of robots.txt and the use of <META NAME="ROBOTS"
CONTENT="index,follow">
However, what would be more useful is to be able to control within a
page which elements of the page should be indexed and seen by robots and
which elements are simply page furniture and it is safe to ignore or not
cache (e.g. adverts).

2 problems:
Example: If a person types in a part number into Yahoo:
1. Is there a way for Yahoo to list your web site as one of the
results.
2. If the user clicks on your link, can your web application know the
part number the user typed into the Yahoo search box. I would like to
use that part number to query our database and present a dynamic web

Can inference search-engines narrow-down the number of often irrelevant
results, by using specific keywords; for the purpose of discerning
emerging social & business trends?
For example, if authors of content subconsciously mention the keywords
"lately and noticed" within the same brief sentence, the reader may
infer "an unintended message" through the process of "inferential
scanning;" a method of noting "semantic anomalies" which may...

I have a home page with Verizon. Within this home page I have several
sub-directories with their own associated pages. One of these subdirectories
has personal contact information and I wish to restrict access to these
pages to everyone except a few individuals. Is there a way to add a password
to a subdirectory so that anyone trying to access these pages will have to
input the correct password in order to view them?
Thanks.

Hi
Can anyone advise me on how I can get my asp.net site to be searchable from
search sites such as Google?
I have absolutely no idea where start, where to go to get the site involved
in searching - and whether I need to do anything on my pages to help with
search requests?
Thanks

If I understand the general direction of recent posts, the idea is to
improve the quality of html/css by soliciting help from the various
browsers. Browsers can certainly detect problems but they have no
sensible place to report them and no way to prevent the same problem
from happening over-and-over in multiple sites around the world. That
idea simply doesn't work.
But how about this one. Suppose we have all of those search engine...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
