Restricting selections on form based on live updating query

I have a form with several combo boxes. What I want to do is limit the
selections available in each combo box based on the selections in the
other. For instance, if the user selects State "New York", only New
York cities will show up in the next box. How would I do this?

I am using SQL 7 with an MS Access 2000 MDB front end, using bound forms with ODBC linked tables. In one form, the user needs to be able to check a box to select one or more records. This is accomplished with a local table containing two fields: the primary key value of the SQL table and a boolean field used for the check box. Since the local table used to contain the boolean field is local to the MDB file, the result is a heterogeneous...

I can filter a query for a report on a field of a subform BUT now.... I'd like to be able to select more than one item in a multi-list box to select all the records. ALSO to use two fields (or more) fields to filter a query based on selections in two or more fields: All the records with NAME = all the names selected in a list box BETWEEN StartDate and EndDate

Here's an interesting one. I have a database that has user level security invoked. The design is normalized and I have one field in particular called Rep ID. Any thoughts on how I can allow all the reps to have read-only access to the DB BUT somehow restrict each REP to only see data or records that have his or her REP ID associated with them. Basically, there is a table of clients and a bunch of other tables, income, sales, etc. that I...

Hi, I am working on a genealogy form. The only table (so far) lists everybody in the family, one record per person. Each record has an autonum ID. The parent form (frmMainForm) displays the data in each record, which includes the ID of the father and the mother (who also have records in the table). One record per form. I have a Tab Control in the form, and in one of the tabs I have a subform (sfmSiblings) in which I wish to list...

I am very new to developing forms and queries with Access. The task that I am required to complete is as follows: Build a form based user interface that displays various information from the underlining tables as well as allow for updating of this information. The problem I am having is that all the information that needs to be displaced needs to ‘created’ using a query ie: the form displays information from multiple sets of tables and...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
