This concerns an Access 2002 (XP) database. There are two fields,
"Notes" (Memo Field) and "Notes Update" on a form (among others)
which I am concerned with here.
Problem: I need to be able to tell when people have added notes to a
record. (this database contains 6000+ records)
I want to set it up so that "Notes Update" is updated to the current
date whenever someone actually enters data into, or modifies data in,
the "Notes"...

Hello,
I'm using Access 2000 and I have a main form with a large subform.
When tabbing through the fields on the main from, the screen
automatically tabs down, as I like, but when I tab into the subform,
the sreen does not automatically scroll vertically as I tab to fields
off the screen. Is there a way to fix this so the user does not have
to move over to the scroll bar?
I know that many might say to make the subform so it fits on...

Is there a way that when I show some fields below that don't fit in the
screen, it automatically makes a scroll down event so the user doesn't have
to scroll down the page by his own?

A dumb question: Exactly how does tabbing work in an ASP.NET form in the
browser? Does it work the same was as a Windows Forms form does?
I have a rather complicated ASP form (that consists of HTML tables, ASP text
boxes, drop downs, data grids, etc)... and no matter how I set the TAB
indexes, it never seems to work the way I want it to - sometimes tabbing all
over the place!
What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any input...

I have some required fields on a form. I'm checking these fields in
the Form_BeforeUpdate sub. When just clicking on the fields and then
trying to go to the next record by clicking on the little arrow at the
bottom of the form it works as intended (A message box pops up telling
the user the field is required and sets focus to the next field in my
If Else statement), but when I tab into the field (any field) the
message box pops up...

I've got a odd thing happening when tabbing through my form. everything is
fine as long as I only tab through the fields, but if I skip 10 fields and
click in a field, enter data then hit tab it will just to the control AFTER
the last control I TABBED to.
This doesn't make sense to me. Does a form keep track of tab index? Do I
need to set this index somewhere when clicking on a field?

I have a subform with a comments (memo) field, linked to a form.
On the Memo field:
Properties-Other-Enter Key Behavior = New Line in Field
On the subform:
Properties- Other- Cycle = "Current Record"
Subform and Form are linked on an ID field.

I have created a SearchForm which is basically a PopUp Continuous Form
that displays 15 Fields. Each field is displayed as a column and when
the user clicks on any record or row, the form closes and that
complete record is displayed in the MainForm.
At the bottom of the SearchForm is the Horizontal Scroll Bar. This

I have a form with 2 tabs and a header.
Tab1 has some text fields on it and button.
At form load the 2nd tab is not visible.
When i enter some text in the fields under Tab1 and then click the button, the set focus is set to Tab 2 and tab1 disappears.
the problem is that when the tab 2 appears, the form does not scroll to the top. Instead the scroll bars remain in the middle.
