I have created a SearchForm which is basically a PopUp Continuous Form
that displays 15 Fields. Each field is displayed as a column and when
the user clicks on any record or row, the form closes and that
complete record is displayed in the MainForm.
At the bottom of the SearchForm is the Horizontal Scroll Bar. This
lets the user view all the fields, since they do not all fit on the
screen.
The first field is the ITEMNAME. The problem is that when the user
scrolls to the right, the ITEMNAME disappears to the left and it
becomes difficult for the user to keep reference to the record they
are focused on.
Is there a way to keep the ITEMNAME field (1st Column) fixed, and have
only the remaining 14 Fields scroll ???

Yes! Make sure that the form is displayed as a datasheet. If it is not, you
might want to make your popup search form to have a subform that is the
datasheet of the 15 fields. Then all you have to do is open the form (not in
design mode) so that it is displaying the actual data. Then highlight the
first columnn for the item name, and then choose the option to freeze the
pane. Now simply click the save button, then you can close the subform
datasheet. Now the next time you open the actual search form, the item name
column will stay visible when the user scrolls.

I'll try your suggestion, however I believe I may run into problems
because I do sorting based on LabelClicks, etc... and believe I am
going to lose some flexibility by switching over to datasheet. I'll
see what happens!

What I do is to make a shortcut menu with the sort ascending, descending,
filter by selection, and remove filter/sort. Then I set all the fields in
the datasheet to have this custom shortcut menu bar. That way, you don't
need any coding for sorting, etc.

I've got a grid inside a div so that it's got scroll bars around it.
What I want to do is have the header row fixed at the top, so that the
vertical scroll bars scroll just the data rows of the grid while the
