MDE file shareware?

Hi,

I want to be able to offer a time limited version of my database. For
example I do not want the program to be able to run after x ammount of days
have gone by.

Could I create this inside access?

Kind Regards...

Since this is a public newsgroup and you aren't GOD, get over it you
bastard. You are just one of those that crawl out of the woodwork when
someone does something wrong in your eyes, you gripe about that then you
slink back into your hole never to help anyone and just sit on your perch
waiting to strike again like a snake in the grass.

Very 'nice' put Steve ...
You are right if you have the idea that I am sort of 'hunting' your advertising...
I just hate it that you really don't give a shit about people who are asking you not to advertise here.

BTW: I do answer questions here but that really is not the issue.

I rather like Arno's posts and very much hope that this interaction with

My name is Rob and I and I am glad to see you are rattled.

What ignorance have I shown... the fact that I joined public newsgroups
to share public information or the fact that you seem to have joined to
show how clever you are?

Lots of love,

Rob.

Hi all, As a general question: Is it possible to create custom file formats? I do not mean changing the attribute of a known file. For ex: A text file transformed into a .xyz will still be readable... So What I mean is a file format which will be readed by only one type application, lets call it YaFR (Yet another File reader). Thank you for your help!

I'm new to .Net. Specifically, I just started playing around with VB ..Net 2003. I'm considering developing some shareware applications. Would you consider .Net a suitable platform for this? I know I can create my apps in VB.Net since I've already built some prototypes, but the Framework issues concern me. I understand you have to have the framework installed and that it can

I'm wondering .NET is good for writing shareware at the moment since it needs .net framework installed in client's computer. But current windows don't have pre-installed .net framework which is quite big to download from internet for many customers. I'm afraid that will turn some customers away from your software.

Howdy! The search is a 1 GB+ file from a crash to be exact - had an e-mail correspondence (window) hopefully in it so I saved the file on reboot before windoze kicked in and want to open and search it for my e-mail, then delete the file... Anyone know of a program to do that which can find and then go up and down to extract or cut and paste my e-mail. It took a day to write that e-mail and I can't imagine trying

I made a key generator according to the specs of a shareware partner so customers can register online. It generates a key from a 'secret' and a combination of name and email / zip and then encrypts with the md5 algorithm. This shareware partner sends the key file in an email to the customer. I'm sorry to ask this perhaps 'stupid' question but: How do I check on my application side if the licence file / bin file is

Shareware & trialware needs to come in a small package so that customers on dialup can access these products as well. In practice, limiting maximum download size is highly desirable with the client base quartering every time the download size is doubled. Where package size is too big, it becomes more expensive to pay for trial download bandwidth than what you recover in sales. For example, typical conversions in the region of 1% see 2Gb...

I am a student taking a machine structures class in a university, which includes learning C. I am looking for a good freeware or shareware compiler which can be used in a "C only" mode. C++ isn't allowed in assignments, and I would like the compiler to check for C syntax instead of C++ syntax. Besides that, ease of use for a beginner and basic debugging capabilities are important. Suggestions are welcome.

My Shareware program (or rather Commerical Program with a time limited demo) used to have sales of around $2,000 per month around 2002, but then I got busy at work and didn't have time to maintain it, so sales dwindled off to about $200 a month or less. I still get the odd sale now and again. Recently whilst looking for a job I've spent months updating the software and I believe it's better than the competition, but after 2 months zero...

Hi Can anyone share their experiences regarding which approach (ShareWare vs Evaluation-ware) works best to protect profits and keep customers pleased? Having a ShareWare product that can be activated to a fully enabled version of that product with a registration code has it's disadvantages (given the numerous websites that post 'regcodes'), but ShareWare is also a fast and efficient means in keeping a customer happy. Evaluation-ware,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
