Syncronize two copies of a database

I have an Access application that I wrote for a very specific business.
They now want to put a copy on a laptop and retain the application on
their PC. Then they want to modify data on both the laptop and PC then
merge the data together making the two copies of the same, for example
at the end of the business day. 99.9% of the time the same records
would not be changed. Is this possible in Access ???

Thanks
Chuck

Yes but it probably won't be easy to change your existing database to
work. You will want to add GUIDs and other things. Access has a whole
replication wizard and sync wizard. Take a look through the help and
you may find everything you need.

Yes it is. It is called Replication. You'll have to change the
original database (the data portion [tables] only) to be the Master db.
Read the Access Help articles on Replication to find out how to do it.
The Help Contents hierarchy on Replication:

Database Replication
Understanding Replication
Replicating a Database
... etc. ...

I have a couple of users that are using exact copies (Structurally) of a split database. The database has 14 tables with numerous 1 to many realationships. I need to find a way to merge the data from these 2 databases into a single database preferably not split. We plan on moveing the data into SQL but want all the data merged before we do it. We are using Access 2003

I have a user that is somehow managing to open multiple copies of a single Access database. We are using Access 2003 and everything I have tried makes it IMPOSSIBLE to open the same database more than once. This database runs code on the execution to look into a master database for new changes and will update the user's database accordingly. I think I have narrowed it down to when the user is being updated, she runs into this issue. I...

I have a report which I need to copy in 2 different lables. I've set a table with numbers from 0-10 (0 gets "original and all the others get "copy"). The caption is changed by IIF - so now all is ok. The problem is : when users presses a pint button, a small form pops up asking number of copies to print (my intention is to print from the table the 0 + the number of copies, so if chosen 2 copies, we'll get 1 original + 2 copies).. What...

I would like to print two reports a once. The first report is a sign sheet; the second is an order form. The sign sheet contains the same information as the order form but has a different layout. The subform sometimes contains multiple records, currently if I have four records in the subform, and when I print these reports, it will print the first four signs followed by the four order form records. If I want ten copies each of the order...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
