I posted this under 'microsoft.public.sqlserver.client' but got no reply.
Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated

I developed a database under SQL Server 2000, with Access 2000 on Windows
2000 as client. This had been running fine for several years. The client is
now upgrading to Windows XP, and has come across a display problem on the
reports. The figures are correct but are now displayed with lots of...

Hello,
This is a repost (see under the "dotted" line) from 2 days ago. Hope someone
could help.
Norton Antivirus 2003 is installed on this computer. Could it cause a
problem? Another interesting thing is when I open a email with the DB
attached (on the ME computer), the file is not "enabled" in the file list,
it's grey. First time I see this.

Hi,
Here is my situation. Can anyone provide insight?
I have developed a database in Access 2002. I am planning to distribute it
as a split MDE (front) / MDB (back) to be used by the Access runtime and
also full-version. Some of the client workstations will have Access 2002
installed. Most of them will have the runtime installed.
However, I can't find the Office 2002 Developer Edition anywhere! Nobody has

I've seen plenty of articles on this topic but none of them have been
able to solve my problem.
I am working with an Access 97 database on an NT4.0 machine, which has
many Access reports.
I want my users to be able to select a report, click on a command
button on a form, which will then automatically create the report as a
pdf file and save it to the user's machine.
I am using Adobe Acrobat (5.0 I think) and have Adobe Distiller as a

Hello,
An ACCESS application (mde) is installed on a computer looking at an
mdb file on the same machine.
As far as I know the application is installed thru a Wise Installer
script. The installation process performs an installation of ACCESS
2000 RUNTIME thru a SAGEKEY script.
The application is designed to run only in within the scope of ACCESS
2000 RUNTIME.
Everything works fine.

Hi,
I am automating Access reports to PDF using PDF Writer 6.0. I've
created a DTS package to run the reports and schedule a job to run this
DTS package. If I PC Anywhere into the server on where the job is
running, the job runs sucessfully, PDF files got generated, everything
is good. If I scheduled the job to run at the time that I am not
logged into the server, Access is not able to print to the printer.
The error is pretty...

Hi
We need some advice: We are thinking of upgrading our Access database
from Access 2000 to Access 2004.
How stable is MS Office 2003? (particularly Access 2003).
We are just a small company and this is a big decision for us(!) It's
not just the money it's committing to an new version of Access!

I have an Access 97 app and the ADT and am considering selling it to
the public.
Is this viable? What issues might I have?
I also have Access 2000 and could use that if it would be better. I
don't have the "ADT" for 2000. Is it called ODE or ODT? Can you still
buy that?
Would there be any advantage in moving up to and distributing using

I am reposting this message. I am a beginner using MS Access. I am
working in MS Access 2000 and have created two forms. Form 1 is called
frmParent (which has a read only subform called SfrmChild). FrmParent
has a list box that lists all the Last Names of parents in the db.
Clicking on one of the lastname of parent in the list box shows
children of selected parent in the SfrmChild. I have a button on
frmParent that opens up a pop up form...

I have a dilemia, I have an application that I am having to make some changes to in order for it to run sucessfully under Runtime 2007. We are currently working on upgrading from 2000 to 2007. The users will be running the apps under 'Runtime Access 2007' Here is my dilema... This application is used as a 'stand alone', basically, my users get a copy of the 'master' database and enter their data specifically for one account, each account they...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
