Details view disappears when converting from Access 2002 to Access 2000

I just converted an A2002 database to A2000. In the new database,
database objects appear in the database window for all views except
Details. When Details is selected, the database window goes blank. Does
anyone know why this happens, and how to correct it?

TIA

Hey people, I have to convert MS Access 2000 database into mysql database, the whole thing being part of this project I'm doing for one of my faculty classes. My professor somehow presumed I knew db's and gave me long list of things to do with that particular database, first thing being that particular conversion. Truth is that I don't know a first thing about db's, let alone using mysql... I downloaded mysql form www.mysql.com and...

Hi, If we want to compile an Access 2002 database and distribute it to others, will the compiled software run on any PC, like Windows 98, Windows 2000, etc. Also, you don't have to have Access 2002 in order to run it do you? Thanks!

Morning All I have been developing and deploying with Office 2000 for about 3 years, mainly Access based programs and although I have gotten used to it's quirks, I am starting to feel that I should be switching to Office 2002 or maybe 2003 It would mean upgrading a lot of existing work, not to mention 3rd party tools that I have bought over the years. I'll switch if there are any real benefits but if it is just marginally better I'll...

This may seem hard to believe, but my company still develops in MS Access 97... it's very frustrating, especially having used 2000 and 2004 and knowing how useful the updates are! Anyway, whilst on a course recently I devloped some code in MS Access 2000 that I would like to use for a mdb at work. It is held on disk in a 2000 mdb... I need to open it with 97, but I can't. And I don't have access to a version of 2000. This is very...

I've got everything in 2000 format right now, but it's now clear that all of the clients will be running 2003. Is there any advantage in converting? -- PeteCresswell

Hi, My (main)form has a subform that contains the details of the mainform. The default view of the mainform is 'single form', the default view of the subform containing the details is 'Datasheet' - Datasheet displays the data of the associated table as a grid. I want both the mainform (the master) and the subform to be displayed as grid. But after changing the default view of the mainform to 'datasheet', the subform disappears...

We're using an Access2000 ADP with an SQL2000 back-end. Because SQL2000 was released after Access2000 you need to be running Access2000 SP1 (2 or 3) for it to work properly. Is there an easy way for the ADP to determine programatically wether the correct service pack is installed (or if they are using a newer version such as 2002/2003)? Ta.

Hi We need some advice: We are thinking of upgrading our Access database from Access 2000 to Access 2004. How stable is MS Office 2003? (particularly Access 2003). We are just a small company and this is a big decision for us(!) It's not just the money it's committing to an new version of Access!

Hello, I created an Access database in Access 2002-2003 that I am trying to convert to Access 2000. During conversion, I get error "The report name ' dirDataCopy' you entered in either the property sheet or macro is misspelled or refers to a report that doesn't exit." I click 'ok', the word 'Converting' stays on the screen, and the progress bars never finish. I do not have any such report name or property, and have no macros. I have...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
