Where should I buy Microsoft Office Developer Edition XP

TJ
I am interested in packaging a database that I have created and
understand I will need Microsoft Office Developer's Edition XP to allow
users that do not have Access to run it.

I have looked on the net and the prices range from $454 to $853.

I have a couple of questions:

1. Is there a MOD 2000?
2. If so where is a good place to buy?
3. What is MOD XP OEM? This shows on TigerDirect.com at $299.00.

Would appreciate any sage advice.

Thanks in advance.

You'll occasionally find some copies for good prices at the online auction
sites, some new, some used. All "standard caveats" for buying from auction
sites apply -- read the listing carefully, or you may end up with a book
instead of the software you want.

The current version is Access 2003. Instead of an Office Developer Edition,
the Access 2003 runtime comes in a product called _Visual Studio Tools for
Office 2003 System_. To get a new copy of Office XP Dev. Ed., you'll have to
find a leftover that is still in the supply chain.

(Repost, due to lack of submissions...) The Microsoft Access Product Group (the people who build Microsoft Access) want your help! One of the main things we're working on for the near future is a conversion tool to take Microsoft Access 97 databases (primarily, but also Microsoft Access 2000 or 2002/XP databases) up to Microsoft Office Access 2003. For us to do this, we need sample databases from *you*, our customers, to ensure a...

What kind of licensing is needed to be able to use the Microsoft Access product and distribute the applications? In other words, what version of Microsoft Access does a developer need to buy in order to allow distribution of the runtime components without incurring any additional license fees per installation of the runtime? Has this changed very much over the versions of MS Access (especially since Access 2.0)? - Larry Weiss

Is there any reason, other than the distributable Access runtime, to use Office XP developer? I tried installing it on my system, but apparently I need to install/update a bunch of components - "Windows Component Update" or something... not sure I want to do this. What can I do with the Developer edition that I can't do with the Professional edition? I found this on the net, but it sounds like marketing hype:

When I attempt to create a new project in Visual Studio .NET 2003, I do NOT have the option to create the following: Microsoft Office 2003 Projects What do I need to install or do to get this option as a project type? I have a Universal MSDN subscription and am using Visual Studio .NET 2003 Enterprise Edition. I attempted to re-run the setup, but I did not see "Microsoft Office 2003 Projects" as an option.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
