QUESTION: "Microsoft Office 2003 Projects" in Visual Studio .NET

When I attempt to create a new project in Visual Studio .NET 2003, I do NOT
have the option to create the following:

Microsoft Office 2003 Projects

What do I need to install or do to get this option as a project type? I
have a Universal MSDN subscription and am using Visual Studio .NET 2003
Enterprise Edition. I attempted to re-run the setup, but I did not see
"Microsoft Office 2003 Projects" as an option.

Thanks for your help. As a reference, you can see what 'm looking to do at
the following URL:

http://www.msdn.microsoft.com/office...wordobject.asp

Look at the figure (Figure 1) under "Getting Started with a Word Project".

Thanks,

Nevermind. I found it. I downloaded it from the Universal Downloads under:

Developer Tools | Visual Studio Tools for the Microsoft Office System 2003.

Would've been nice if the article described installing this before moving on
to building the project....

Would also be nice if the download was documented in the Office Developer
section of MSDN. I just blindly looked and found it. The documentation on
this topic sucks big-time.

Close this question.

Hi all, I'm afraid this is the second posting of this information as I didn't get a response on the previous post. I will try to shorten my message (i.e. be more concise) in the hopes that it will make it easier for someone (i.e. a Microsoft person) to digest the information and respond to it. I am a C++ and Java developer with over 3 years of industry experience. I've written low level C++ code, in addition to web clients that use web...

Hi! Now, I have to develop under Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Beta, while I used to develop under Visual C++ .NET. That means I have to migrate all my former projects into this environment. The problem is that I used to use unmanaged code and I notice that there are so many syntax differences : For example the new compiler doesn't accept the former pointer syntax :" string * ptr" but now "string ^", the same for the STL libraries and...

Hi and Happy Holidays, VS 2005 yields "Microsoft Visual Studio Is Busy Microsoft Visual Studio is waiting for an internal operation to comple. If you ... report this problem to Microsoft." I'm not sure if this constitutes reporting it to MS but here it is.

Hi, until today i always forced users to download/install the complete package of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86), but mostly my applications only need the msvcr90.dll to run. So my question here is if i can pack this file into my installer and redistribute it with my application. For my case it would be just fine if the dll would be in the same directory as the app is.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
