Need help with Office 2000 Developer

4 New Member
I am trying to install Developer on Windows XP computer. In the set I have the following CD's.

Office 2000 Premium (4 CD's)
Developer Tools Version 1.5 (1 CD)
MSDN Library - Office 2000 Developer (3 CD's)
Exchange 2000 Server Developer Edition (1 CD)
SQL Server 7.0 Developer Edition (1 CD)

I do not have the manuals for these. Is one of the MSDN Library CD's the one I need to install Developer, or am I missing something?

Your question is very vague at best. You have 4 different versions of developer and each one would be installed separately. So are you having trouble with one of the installs or does it install and you can't find the tools...

I found this link maybe it will help:
1. Install Office 2000 Developer Edition 1.5 VBA tools.
2. Install Office XP Developer VBA tools.
3. Open the Add-in Manager, and then set all VBA tools to load on startup.

I could go on guessing all day please be a little more specific.

I have no idea, but you should find all the information on the CDs. They normally include all the relevant manuals too.

I am the best c++ programmer in the whole wide world. Trust ME! My reference is Victor Bazarov,Valentin Samko,Alf P.Steinbach( Me and Alf actually intern together at Microsoft), and Bjarne Stroustrup (he actually asked me for help to design C++ ; still unsure why he didn't give me enought credit - probably a poor design choice to have Russian name near c++),Branimir Maksimovic,Vladimir Kouznetsov . Me and Victor went to the same...

After reading and experiencing the phenomenon of installing MS Office 2000 on a system that already has MS Office 97, or for that matter just Access 97 Runtime, I saw the ugliness that ensues. If one elects the standard installation, then Office 2000 deletes a large percentage of the older files. Of course, if one happens to choose Custom installation and elects not to uninstall prior versions, then things are happier. Yes, the archives...

Hi Folks, I have a widely distributed Access 200 Application. I must retain my ability to support users who are still on Access 2000 and Access 2000 Runtime. However I also need to upgrade my development environment to Office 2003 Professional. My question is: Where can I find a comprehensive description of the known issues that will affect my ability to do all of the above after I upgrade my own development environment to Office...

For some reason the Developer Tools Setup program does not see Office 2000 on at least two of my development machines. When I go into Help/About I see: Microsoft Access 2000 (9.0.6926 SP-3). I do have other development tools on the machine, various versions of Visual Studio, could that cause the problem? Is there a workaround? Gerhard

Hello - This is my first posting to this group, so please bear with me. Also note, that while I'm intelligent, databases are not in my field of knowledge. I'm working with a small limousine company. They presently have about 4 networked computers, all running Windows XP (w/SP2) and Microsoft Office 2000 (specifically Access 2000) - and a plain jane p3 server also running Windows XP (w/sp2) with Office 2000 loaded onto it. These...

Just finished Access 2003 with MDE file but then find out that I need Access 2003 Developer Extensions to deploy the runtime. I went to MSDN site and it talks a lot about it but I cannot find the software. Can anyone help? Thanks a lot. PS: I tried to install Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office Developer Portal but got error messages that this tools are for 2007 Office System, and can not be installed.

After about 12 years with Access I finally created a "Runtime" version of a simple app. (No, before you ask – I don't mean I spent 12 years developing a simple app – just that all my previous clients have Access already!!) Tried running it on a Win98 machine and although it opened OK the only textbox on the opening form displayed "#name?" and none of the command buttons responded to clicks. However, when I opened the same mdb file on my...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
